Back To The Damn Grind Tomorrow

It's of course the usual thing. It's Sunday, and that means the end of the weekend and back to work we go on Monday morning. Normally it is a given. I am not one to complain.
BUT...
Last week was just hell week for me. We had systems down all week due to the tornadoes in Dallas where all of our servers are located. Plus it was inventory week. So it was a lot of crazy and a lot of extra hours.
I was really looking forward to that week being over and could not wait for the weekend.
Considering the kind of week it was, it just made this weekend feel way too short and went by way too fast. I am NOT looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.
But it is what it is. I did not win the lottery, and while there is plenty of money in the bank, it's not enough to just up and quit yet.
Onward and upward. Does ANYONE look forward to going back to work?

@FayeHazel We finally got the servers back up around 1030 or so. I can't tell you any other time I was more happy to see DDI (our main system) up and running.

It can be like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire in one sense I don“t mean literally but the feeling of relaxing on the weekend back to the grind of the working week.

@JohnRoberts I forget, what was your profession? You have probably mentioned it a time or two. Just curious.

I hate to burst your bubble; but I'm retired; so every day is the weekend to me...but I totally understand. When I was working I could hardly wait for the weekend.

HEY, STOP WITH THE 4 LETTER WORDS
I'm so tickled that I no longer have to fuss about going to work, I simply work at home

I never look forward to going back to work on a Monday. I wish I could be one of those people who is actually excited about their job. Thankfully, I just checked my work calendar for tomorrow, and I have nothing scheduled the whole day long. So maybe I'll just fart around all day or hang out at the pools all day (I oversee our city's public swimming pools). At least that will be fun.

Yeah, it is a pain. I try to get all my work done on Sundays since I work online and so I can spend the rest of the week doing what I actually want to do that will someday give me splendors. Until then...my fingers just keep typing nonsensical numbers.

If you're spirit is will but your body is not, you have the reason not to go work especially when you're sick.
