As you know, I am one of the great chefs in the world. I take the mundane, and make it brilliant. Both Anna and Maluse have written in culinary journals about my brilliance. Or maybe not.
In this case, I took Trader Joe's Chinese Orange Chicken, cooked it over olive oil, added garlic and rice, and created yet another gustatory delight.
Soon, I will write about my latest invention, which I may call "Pepper Steak," but that will have to wait for now.

I love Orange Chicken as long as it's not too spicy. Looks good.

@TheHorse I don't drink anymore; so a Diet Coke will do! I love California. We were there quite a few years ago. Northern California was loaded with wildlife. Where is Walnut Creek? Do you get earthquakes there? How about the fires? Are you safe from them? Sorry for all the questions...I'm curious!

@LindaOHio I am in a zone that gets earthquakes, but the Big One has not come in several years. Yes, we smell the wood smoke, and are on alert. But I have not been ordered to evacuate. Stop on by any time!

Wish I had a Trader Joe's near us. Would have to drive over an hour to get to one.

@TheHorse we are a small area, small state. I think there is one in the north of the state, but that is a 3 hour drive.

@ElusiveButterfly There are 3-hour drives in Maine? Or New Hamphire? Or Connecticut? I did not realize. It takes about five hours to drive from here to LA.

@1creekgirl We haven't burned down. But I can see the hazy sky and smell the wood smoke.

Write a book and publish, how to cook what is already cooked.

@thislittlepennyearns Panda Express is pretty good. But we have so many excellent "real" Chinese restaurants here in the Bay Area...

Gustatory? Never heard of this word. Where is the rice? I don't see it in the pic...
