Prescient dream? Or mere coincidence?

I just drove to my local gas station to get some cigs and Gatorade. As I was driving home I remembered that I had had a dream last night about some lady driving into my truck, causing an accident.
Not 15 seconds later, a women drove into my lane from the right (illegal) and stopped there. She was looking right, hoping to turn left, and was oblivious to the fact that I was about to broadside her from the left.
As I braked (successfully), I tried my best to give her the look that the old guy with cognac had on his face as the Titanic filled up with water (horror, if you haven't seen the movie). She started to back up, but I waved that it was OK--I could get around her.
Did my dream predict the future, make me attentive, and save me from an accident?
(big pause)
Naaaaah. I dreamed about car crashes because I talked to the guy at the body shop yesterday about how to get the adjuster in Montana to give him the go ahead to fix the (cosmetic) damage to my truck.
But still...if there are billions of neurons in our brains, and trillions of neural connections...can we sometimes foretell what's going to happen? What do you think?

I think we can....not precisely but we could train our senses...not like future predictions but maybe a better reading of the environment, behaviour patterns and intuition

@samysotelo18 Have you studied "Freudian" and "Jungian" dream interpretations? I do believe some of what I've learned. But I don't beleve we can "tell the future," or anything like that.

@MALUSE In my dream I saw my friend running behind the car because he was in the street and he noticed that the car was moving. Well this is exactly what happened, not very common. My father came in one of my dream and told me to ask to my brother (he is a doctor) to immediately check my Mom because she had stomach cancer. Mom was fine, no symptoms, believe me that I had a hard time convincing my brother who told me "you usual stupid dreams"... Mom had a stomach cancer, they had to perform surgery only a few days later. She survived and she lived another 27 years. I had others.

When I was in high school I dreamt that the boy who had the locker next to mine had shaved his moustache off and when I got to school, I saw that he had.

@BarBaraPrz I still think you may have subconsciously noticed some "cue" that showed he was tired of his little mustache.

You need to quit going to the gas station. You got way way deep.

All that matters is was the woman hot?

Which woman? The one I saved with my baseball player reflexes today was 63-ish, with dyed black hair. Her hotness would have to be determined by the perceiver. The one who ran into me in Montana was 40-ish, with freckles. I would have kissed her, had she asked me to.

We can't; but you might unconsciously do something to make the event happen. Other than that, no, we can't foretell the future.
