What's the best meal you've ever eaten?

What is the best meal you've ever eaten, and was it homemade or from a restaurant? This is a really hard question to answer. I feel like there has probably been several meals that I would classify as "the best ever". If I had to choose, I would probably say a friend's mom's meatloaf, or the first time I had her spaghetti. Maybe even the first time I had her stuffed shells. I think, however, I'll give her daughter the award of "best meal ever" with the way she makes chili. It is delicious and definitely something you have to get seconds of. What's your favorite meal? *pictured is one of the cat's I petsat for. She is resting on my lap on one of her favorite blankets.

So far the best meal for me, was hotdogs, eggs and ham with fried rice. Plus a hot coffee to boost. In a hotel.

Oh yum that sounds good. I like ham every once in awhile. How was the egg made? Scrambled?

@JustBhem Oh okay. I think I've had sunny side up once or twice. I like fried egg better than any kind, but I make scrambled mostly.

I don't know if I can say best meal ever. There's a place here in town called H & M that makes the best burgers I've ever had in my life..

Tender meat? I haven't had a good burger in awhile. I had one once, I think it was the Elvis Burger. That place is now a food truck and not a restaurant.

Birthday food.
The crab and big jumbo shrimp that I made for my birthday on Sunday. It was really good.

I've been thinking about getting some of those frozen fish dinners, I just haven't yet. I love shrimp.

Hard to say, going to something very simple but that was absolutely delicious was a grouper I had on the French side of the Island of Sint Maarteen in the Caribbeans.

I am not adventurous with my seafood. Crab, Tuna, Salmon, and Shrimp are basically the only seafood I'll consume.

@LadyDuck Seafood is their specialty I suppose, with the ease of getting it.

Hard to choose, but the sea bass I had in Tenerife would be right up there.

I don't eat much seafood, not sure if I've ever had a bass. Was it breaded?

@jaboUK Oh, I see. I'll admit I eat more breaded fish than anything else. I make salmon stew every once in awhile and that's plain.

I honestly can't answer this question. There have been many wonderful meals in my life. . . usually from restaurants. We ate like kings in Vegas. I love the ceviche I've had in Mexico. I can't come up with a "best" meal though.

Many years ago I attended an international school for a while, and one day some of the students from Pakistan cooked some of their local dishes. I don't know the names of the dishes, but it is probably the best food I have ever eaten. I also love food from India, but the dishes from Pakistan were my favorite meal.

My friend works with someone from Pakistan. She has been able to try foods from there because her co-worker will sometimes bring it in for her to try. I think I've tried something from there once because of this friend.

@ScribbledAdNauseum That is nice. When I was working in the kindergarden many of the parents were immigrants from other countries and sometimes they gave us some of their local food. Most of the food was from the Middle East or from Asia. There used to be a restaurant in Copenhagen that sold great food from India and Pakistan, but I don't think it exists anymore.

@Porcospino Oh! That was very nice of the parents to give the employees food from their countries. It seems now that this type of things is not done as much anymore. More people seem to have severe food allergies and / or people just do not trust others as much as they once did.

I'd probably pick a steak dinner at Outback Steakhouse for one of my favorite meals.

What a cute cat in the photo. Will have to think about a favorite, I have had many. Living in New Orleans I loved the fresh seafood.

Her brother, the black cat (not pictured) is also cute. I didn't interact with him as much as I usually do. I petted him a few times, and he sat on my lap with his sister once or twice. I have had fresh seafood when I went to the beach, oh and tilapia from the great lakes...

The cat is so cute! I've had a few amazing meals in my life, but I love Pho from a certain restaurant in Alabama, then fried dumplings from shanghai, and my mom's discada...it's amazing

What is Discada? I don't think I've ever heard of that before. Yep, she is cute. Her name is Chicken, or Chickey for short.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Chickey!! I will show you a photo of discada, it's not my mom's discada but it's basically minced meat, and cold meats like sausages, chorizo, bacon, and spices, I love to eat it in taco form haha
