Do you sell on eBay?

I am sporadic seller on eBay, only when I have something to sell - I don’t go out of my way really to find or create things to sell. I refuse to sell on Amazon after an experience with their ridiculous fees. eBay seems much more reasonable to me, although to be honest I don’t really know what their fee structure is. In the last two weeks I sold a new Fitbit inspire my work gave me (valued at $40 ish and got $35), and a new NorthFace backpack that I tried to use once but really hated (I originally bought for $70 last year and received $40, good enough). Now that I am in the “mode” I am going to try to find more to sell. So far I have a used iPhone SE, and that’s about it. I will have to look. It’s nice getting a little money for something, even if you don’t break even, and down-size in the process! Do you sell on eBay regularly? If so, what do you sell?

I have a long time ago sold a few things and then never went back to it. My issue is taking it to the post office to ship it. If I could find a better way of getting that part done I might sell more things on there.

@maezee Yea, that is the big part of why I don't sell on ebay anymore, it was to much of a hassle to deal with

I don't sell anything on Ebay, but I do watch a lot of people on Youtube where they go to thrift stores and buy things real cheap, then turn around and sell them for a profit.

I know a thrift store near me that people definitely do that. I have never really tried that though. A lot of time and effort!

I have never sold on there, shipping fees seem way too high for me... I always buy from there though and have had good experiences with it. =)

They are too high! If I find anything online I will usually look for sellers that offer free shipping.

I sell things occasionally on Ebay. I find it's hit or miss but I guess it depends on what I"m selling. Looks like you did pretty good with what you just sold.

Hit or miss for sure. I am really happy I didn’t have to wait forever for someone to buy this stuff. If that was the case I would probably get impatient and donate it!

What is a good thing to buy on eBay? Haven’t bought on there in a long time.

I was never successful at selling anything on eBay. But several years ago, when multiply was still alive, I was able to sell a lot of Sanrio products there. There were a lot of people in my city who were into authentic Sanrio from Japan and at that time they browse only in multiply. But these days, I don't sell anything online anymore. I remember during those years though I was an avid eBay buyer.

Like you I do now and then, when I have something to get rid of. The things that have done best for me have been the most obscure. One time I sold some CDs I picked out of the waste bin at work and got about £10 for those. I have sold houseplants in the past but since the Post Office changed their fee structure that doesn't work so well as postage cost is too high. Probably the strangest thing I sold was a roll of vintage toilet paper (unused of course) I found in the back of my mother's bathroom cupboard!

I used to sell books, collectible and clothing. Shipping is what costs.

It is not cheap! And it’s a pain in the butt to get to the post office. Only a few post offices near me have 24 ho ur self service and their locations are not convenient!

I haven’t purchased anything on eBay, but they did send me a $5 off coupon (I did not read the fine print though).

I don't, but I have sold on eBay. I made $400 cash on a valve that was returned by a customer that we did not credit. It was out of the system, not in inventory, and I posted it and took the cash. Took a little while, but got it done. From time to time I might sell something, but not regularly.
