Hurry up, Mum. I'm hungry

We came across this photo yesterday and I felt sure you’d enjoy seeing it too. It was taken in Carlingford in Northern Ireland. A couple we know in Australia have a house there and we were staying on the second floor. Vince isn’t actually on the roof. If he were, he’d be too busy hanging on to take photos.
The mother bird is feeding one while the others wait their turn, although they don’t seem too happy about it. Sometimes you jag a good photo, don’t you?

@moffittjc They'd be cuter if they had little scarves around their necks, though.

superb 'n jest what i needed, ms. judy! lol, yes, he'd needed to be tethered if'n out'n the roof. reminds me 'f the sparrows here. those lil fledgings work their parents constant fer food 'n get purty cranky. i get tickled coz most oft they're right next to one 'f the feeders'n the parents spend days tryin' to get 'em to fetch their own.

@JudyEv 4 lil mouths to feed 'tis quite the chore fer certain! i bet they jest sigh with relief when those youngsters're self-sufficient, eh? i do wonder how many they raise'n a season? most birds 'round these parts go through that 'n average 3 times a spring!

I think that's what they are. We have swallows here too. I don't know if they have the blue backs. I've never been that close to one.
