Those are very basic joys. I enjoy it when I wash my dishes and have none piled up in the sink.

@JudyEv Heh. I have "selective OCD." The speakers I work on have to look close to perfect before I "release" them. I'll also correct a typo in an old comment of mine here if I catch it.

@TheHorse Sometimes I think I'm a bit OCD. Although I don't like cleaning, if I'm not reasonably organised, it reflects in my mood.

Money is good. But I'm worried that our current house of cards is about to collapse.

@porwest Tick tock. Tick tock. I have no clue when the next "correction" will occur. The French girl in my arms claims to love me for my artistic ability, but I know it's really because of my MONEY. We must be realists.

@TheHorse Nah. Not any time soon. There are no indicators. Not now. I mean, eventually it will. But not now. You cannot have record GDP growth, record labor participation rates, record consumer confidence, the first increases in median income in years, record low unemployment across all boards and think....we can't enjoy this for at least a good amount of time. When it comes to what's in investments and what's in cash, though, right now for me, it's all about a good balance. If I see something coming I will let you know. But right now this economy is not going anywhere but up. I should note that what is happening is far removed from being a house of cards. There are real catalysts driving this economy. Not fake stuff like Obama did with quantitative easing to drive the markets up and hold the economy at bay. Sorry to bring politics in. I know you were not going there. But they kind of had to be to illustrate WHY this is not a house of cards, this economy is real, and it's not going away any time soon.

@TheHorse I have an altec lansing. I loved the sound but it is broken now. All I have is built in smartphone and laptop speakers. They dont do the music justice.

@pgntwo It's Saturday here. Yesterday, I had to rush into work and didn't take a shower. Perhaps I'll extend it to 15 minutes today!

One of mine is a nice strong cup of coffee. I just brewed one up.

I enjoy talking with friends on the phone, or playing music with friends, as well.

@Alison19 I've become "friends" with the older brother of one of my most darling preschool kids. Her mom and my co-teacher and around and talk (in Spanish, so I can't understand most of what they're saying), and the boy (who is about eight) loves to show off his math abilities to me. I'm thinking of doing a "math challenge" with him, where we make up math problems for each other and then "grade" them. That's a part of my "routine" with older kids. I've been doing it with Horse Jr. since he was four.

Heh. I was JUST thinking about how listening to the rain, on a chilly morning, with my comforter pulled right up to my chin, is about as good as it gets. Then I had to get up for work.
