Happy Friday everyone! I hope you are all off to a good start and a great day today. My day was a bit hectic yesterday, so I'm trying hard to make this a great day. We had to go to Baton Rouge yesterday to pick up some medicine for my mom at her cardiologist's office. It is located in south Baton Rouge. I stopped by my bank to deposit a couple of checks and then we had to go by my daughter's house. I had planned on picking her up but she was sick with cold and cough. I didn't want to risk getting either me or mom sick so I told her we would see her another day. Then she asked to borrow $10 or $20 bucks. I at first was going to just tell her no, but I brought her $15 so they could get food for dinner and breakfast. She said they were broke until today and payday. I also had to run by our house and check on things there. There was a terrible accident close to the house and traffic was horrible. I almost turned around to go eat some dinner but we managed to get through before the road was closed. Then we picked up a big dinner to split from Cane's to much on while driving home. I was all set for a bowl of gumbo to warm up with. We made it home around 7:30 and I proceeded to get the gumbo out of the refrigerator. I had it in a 1 lb. plastic tub with a lid on it. Somehow I managed to let it slip through my hand while in motion to the kitchen counter. The bowl hit the floor and the lid popped open. I had a major mess to clean up. Needless to say the dogs had a feast of gumbo with chicken and sausage last night for dinner. They both lapped it up in less than two minutes so I know they enjoyed the treat. I had my bowl of gumbo and worked on here to clear more notifications and did some other things online. I was really ticked off at myself and ended up staying up until 2 am. So today has to be a happy day! So far it is working out very well! How is your day going? Photo: Pixabay
