Good Afternoon and Daily Health Report - Day 33

It was a very good day today. The breakfast fellowship was wonderful with a new food I've never had before and I looked up the calorie information and then divided because there's no way I had a lot of it. The hostess made a German Apple Pancake. It was delicious and that's an understatement. There was also an assortment of fruit, but again I didn't have a lot so I didn't bother to calculate it. The teaching was also good. I brought cutie oranges and then shared them with my son when I went to do laundry.
Laundry was the usual, sort of. I spent time with my son as I watched, he played the Star Wars game. Then when I put the load in the dryer, I took my grandson shopping for food and work shoes. I got a little bit of food too. So, I got to spend time with both of them before heading home and making my usual breakfast for a late lunch at 3.
That brings me to yesterday's numbers. I did very well yesterday, which might account for my not being overly hungry today.

My supper consisted of a boneless beef rib, cauliflower, and sweet potato riced veggies and my chocolate bar.
That has been my day. It was starting to snow when I came home. I dropped my grandson at the bus station so he wouldn't need to take the bus from home to work. This way, it's half the trip. He might still be at the bus station since I dropped him off very early. He doesn't start work until 5 and usually gets there at 4:30 spending two hours on the bus. Yes, that's typical for the Green Bay transit system and why I'm happy to have a car.

Ugh. Snow. But it IS Green Bay, so there's that. I will run into some snow on my travels to Kansas next week. It's inevitable. It's winter. Or, well...it may not be official but it's winter. Glad you got a lot done today, and there you go again with those darned ribs. I swear, if you keep talking about them I am going to have to get some very soon. The beef ones I do in the crock pot though because otherwise I can never get them tender enough.

When I make a lot more than what I made yesterday, I'll make them in the crockpot, but since I only make one at a time, it's only me after all, I'll make it on the griddle under cover so it cooks up perfect.
There were only flurries and you could barely see them. It's been winter since Halloween but technically fall. Can you believe we've gotten 43% of the average snowfall already and winter doesn't happen until next weekend?
Gotta love winter and Wisconsin. Will you be watching the game tomorrow?

what a delectable treat fer certain! if'n my taste buds recall correctly anyhow. 'tis been 'bout 15 years since i've 'd a bite 'f such, lol.
'twas nice ya got to visit with yer grandson. hopefully his wait 'twas not too long. we've not transit systems here, nor taxi's. well, not 'ntirely true, they've a bus fer the disabled - very long wait times 'n most unreliable from what i've been told. i dunno, they'll not come out 'f the city limits so've not used such myself.
congrats'n yer calorie count! jest so proud 'f how well yer doin', hon. more snow fer ya? i'm tellin' ya, those clouds'd best not run out 'f that fluffy schtuff coz i've a promise fer ya a fresh, white Christmas.
beaut 'f a day here, reached 65. didn't get much work done, but 'njoyed the day'n time spent outdoors.

@crazyhorseladycx I'm sorry you have another front coming. Knees are sometimes a better herald of the weather than the weatherman, who was wrong again yesterday for the overnight weather.
I have to agree with you. I love winter, but wind chills and ice, factors of winter, can hit the road. They're not welcome in my winter.

The temps will keep it around this week. No snow in the forecast this week. We'll see what next week brings. We have blue skies this morning and mean temps. Though not as mean as last week. The wind chill when I looked a couple of hours ago was -3.
65 is nice for this time of year where you are.

I'm glad our fellowship and breakfast turned out to be a wonderful time.
A nice visit while doing laundry, at your son's house. Your grandson is blessed, not riding the bus to work yesterday. I'd hate spending two hours on a bus! Your numbers are excellent! Good job:))

Such is the bus system here. The only time it's less than that is when you're on the route where you intend to get off. Otherwise, it's bus transfers. I didn't take him to work, only the bus station. I don't know how long he waited there.

@just4him Our city is so small, we have two buses carting people all over the place. One travels north about 20 miles, to the KMart parking lot. The other one covers the city limits and stops at Wal Mart.
