The Little Rascal Returned

Yes I named the black cat that visited the deck the other day. Looks identical to the Dude. He is the Little Rascal. He is after my birds. Of course, he is a cat after all. That is what they do. I wrote about this cat visited the deck the other day. Have not seen him since. Today he appeared just now, and he took a leap into the bird feeder. Amazing how fast these cats can be. He did not get a bird and left on his own. He is so pretty, but I cannot have him and the birds. And I believe he has a home somewhere, very well take care of. He just needs to stay home. Sad but true.
Was sitting at my computer with my coffee this morning. I am always keeping a check on the bird feeder. I keep my camera ready on the tripod at the patio door....

@CarolDM I was wondering if that might help. Can you raise the birdbath a bit - out of his reach?

@JudyEv You mean the feeder? No, it is attached to the deck and cannot go any higher.

@CarolDM Sorry he bothers the birds. When Sophie and I sit out on the porch the birds go sit on wires and Sophie just wanted to take the time to talk to them, but, the ignored her so

It is because of the deck feeder. I will move it soon when spring arrives.

I know, there are probably more out there that i never see. Maybe that is what happened to the bluebirds. I have to try not the think about that.

I watched a youtube video once where someone put a tracker on their cat and was able to map how far the cat went. That cat might be from a neigbhorhood or two away. Hopefully he finds somewhere else to hang out.

I'm sure that kitty has found out that you have some enticing birds at your house and can be entertained chasing them. He is a pretty kitty but maybe you should have named him "bad kitty" LOL

My cats were never good at catching birds. They were great with mice and chipmunks though.

If he is not a stray then he is hunting for sport.

I have arranged my bird feeder up high on a this pole, metal, pole so the cats can't get at them. They seem happy enough just to watch
