Walmart's Candy Cane Peppermint pie is pretty good

Although it is a high calorie thing, and I am certain making one on your own would be healthier, the pie was pretty affordable at 4.88 and seems to be of decent quality. It tastes pretty good, and was in stock when I went to Walmart on the 23rd so I picked one up. The thing I am having trouble locating is eggnog..Either it is quite expensive or quite high calorie. I wanted to get something that was not quite as high in calories. I found a recipe for it, but I haven't made it as of yet. Did you have any eggnog this holiday season?

It's been a long time since I had the peppermint candy cane. But for the pie, this is the first time I've heard of that flavor.

They do sell lower calorie versions these days. However, it is like 3.50 for a quart, not really keen on paying that much.

@snowy22315 Yes, that is the problem, it is the same with the cocktail piña colada, I never get it because it is too high in calories.

I like to have it at least once or twice over the holidays. I am taking friend home tomorrow and he has some so I might get a taste then.

Yes, I typically don't like drinking my calories, but I do like the taste of eggnog.

I couldn't find fruitcake at all anywhere on island that I went to shop at! So I gave up. Usually Walmart has some fruitcake, but I didn't see any this year at all. I'm going on Fri. to pick up my meds, so I'll check again for fruitcake. I love fruitcake with nuts in them and ones that's not so huge. Hope you find what you want for your holidays!

i like a dose or two once a year. I did have a little bit at the Christmas party I went to earlier in the month.
