Off early tomorrow to go to the beach

We are off early tomorrow to take photos of horses and their riders at a nearby beach. They’ll be swimming their horses in the sea and riding along the sand. We have to be there at 7.30am then at 10.00am we’re heading to another beach. One beach ride has been organised by a club but if everyone goes to the one beach there might be problems with parking hence the two different venues. This will be a new venture for us so it will be interesting to see how it goes. And, until I have photos of the horses to show you, here is Vince’s panoramic view of the double rainbow we saw at our friends’ house a few nights ago. I put up a photo of part of it earlier today but this is much better.

You make me so jealous! How I would love to spend some time on a warm beach watching the waves, I look forward to pictures of the horses.

@JudyEv I'm glad you are not near the fires. It upsets me to see the devastation it is causing. Hope you had a great day.

@Tampa_girl7 I don't suppose you see a lot of Australian footage but these fires are really bad. We see news of your fires and floods too from time to time.

@JudyEv I see. We do not have beaches in Jerusalem so if want a beach have to go to another city and that is a pain. I prefer sitting on my porch in nice weather.

@YrNemo I don't think the bushfires affect the colours but I don't know for certain. We had just had a shower of rain and suddenly there was the rainbow.

@JudyEv Was there any bushfire around that caused that effect? (There seem to be so many news about bushfires re: Australia lately.)

The double rainbow is beautiful - you can see the full arches here (we barely see a quarter of it if we are lucky). Hope some wonderful horse and sea photos are captured! Happy New Year to you and Vince! I haven't been here for a while - I had been wondering about you guys as we hear about the fires in the news - hope you are all safe!!

@JudyEv Oh gosh, looking at Facebook I am seeing so much more this morning about the Australian fires. Please stay safe even though the fires are worse on the east side . . . with our wildfires here we had a lot of smoke going our way.

Thanks for the good wishes and it's good to see your name appearing again. It isn't often that you see the full arch like this. The worst fires are over east but something a bit similar could happen if an arsonist decided to drop a match. We don't have the same terrain here. The ones in the east are horrific.

@much2say It only needs a dropped match to put us in danger but we don't have the mountainous terrain of some of the eastern areas. Thanks for your good wishes.

That's so kind of you. We are very lucky in this area and, although it's certainly possible to have such a huge fire, we'd be pretty unlucky I think. However, it only takes an arsonist or a lightning strike to start such a fire.

@Freelanzer At the moment, yes, and thanks for your concern. The worst ones are all on the eastern side of the country. But of course it only takes one arsonist or one bolt of lightning for the situation to change dramatically.

You're correct in that the horses were taken to the beach. Some of them had never been before but mostly they enjoyed wading in the ocean.
