National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. I think we should honor all law enforcement personnel every day. They risk their lives for all of us. And often do not get the credit.
From local, state and federal, their duties command dedication. The jobs are often thankless and take them away from their families for long hours. Rarely do they know what their days have in store for them.
On National Law Enforcement Day, we have an opportunity to thank them for their service and offer a token of respect.

I saw that pop up on facebook or something yesterday. I work very closely without our city police department, so I am very appreciative of everything they do. Wonderful people who really care about serving and protecting our city.

@CarolDM I love working closely with our police department because I get to know all the officers. Not only do I respect everything they do, but I also know I can call any of them at any time and they will do everything they can to help me in whatever it is I need.

I agree. These people who put their lives on the line for us each and every day need to be HONORED each and every day. Truly among our finest—granted there ARE bad actors...but that is true of every profession there is. The majority of law enforcement are honorable people.

I did not know that, but that is great. My cousin is a policeman and my uncle works in the jail.

God bless police officers. I don't want to be one, but somebody has to do it. I'm thankful for the non-corrupt law enforcement professionals who take their jobs seriously and truly intend to serve and protect you ... with their own life. It's a rough job!
