Putting away my Christmas decorations - not a five-minute job

We were in the city yesterday and many places still have their Christmas decorations up which surprised me somewhat. I took mine down a day or two ago but it wasn’t quite as easily done as I thought. We only had some tinsel draped along the pelmets over the curtains. As we didn’t have a tree, I attached the ornaments to a ribbon across the front of the hall cabinet. The decorations fit in one box and two plastic bags so I got the small step-ladder and brought these down. I packed up the tinsel and ornaments and put the boxes back on top of the cupboard. And put the ladder away. Then I discovered that I’d forgotten the wreath on the front door. This consists of tinsel over plastic tubing so I took the wreath apart, got the boxes down, packed the tinsel, and put the boxes back. I’d forgotten a bowl full of Christmas baubles sitting in the middle of the table. Brought down the box, packed away the baubles, put the box back up. Discovered I’d forgotten the tinsel we’d would round the chimney. Got the tinsel down, got the box down, packed the tinsel, put the box up. Now I’m finally finished. As my dear old Mum would say, my head would never save my legs. The photo is of my hand-made wreath. You might remember it from last year.
