My younger daughter has a big problem.

Claudia did not go to Valdivia only to see her aunt and uncle. She is escaping from a decision she will have to take soon: whether to stay with her couple or to part with him.
She has had many troubles with him in the past and now she will go to a therapist before taking her final decision.
She talks to me when she is alone (she went with the kids because she does not like to leave them with him).
I think that when that happens (although it is only psychological abuse) the only possible word is goodbye.
She is economically independent and the house is hers. I´d say bye bye. A long time ago.

@DianneN They have been together for 13 years. And this same daughter lost a child to cancer many years ago and her husband could not bear and left her and his children. She DESERVES to have lots of good luck

Psychological abuses are way worse and more tough to stand with. Hope she comes to a right decision after all thoughts.

@LadyDuck My role now has been being there to listen to her and to hug. She wanted to consult a psychologist and I told her to do it. I have told her to do what she thought best not only for her but for the kids. I can say no more.

I agree. They were both on therapy some years ago, but people don´t really change.

@JudyEv He is the victim type who does not talk and makes everyone feel guilty.

It is very obvious to those outside of a relationship when it is time to say goodbye.

He won´t. Besides, Claudia will not keep him from seeing Sofía, her only child with him.

If she is economically independent that is a big plus for her to say goodbye.

SHe should think out everything carefully and most important make it as easy as possible on the kids but definitely if there is no love lost between them she should make the split.

Vicente is from her first husband and he has a wonderful relation with him. And Claudia Told me that Sofía had not asked for her father even once during the vacation.

I think you should invite your daughter and tell her about your decision
