I remembered I needed to go to Walgreens to pick up a medication refill. I did a little store walking while I was there and looked to see what I could get on the health benefits credit card. I got the booklet in the mail yesterday. Not much I'm interested in outside of the heating pad I bought the last time I was there, and the toothpaste and brushes I stocked up on today, and bandaids. The walking was good, and I didn't go over the pain threshold. My knee was pretty good when I left. I'm still planning to put the heating pad on it. When I got back I found the box in the photo in front of my door. Huge for the tiny item sitting next to it. There was a customs thing on the box, so I'm thinking it came from Ireland. I ordered a teabag holder a few days ago with a promised delivery date of today through February 6th. When I unwrapped it, I was happy it looked exactly like the photo on Amazon. I'm going to finish up the notifications I have since I logged out an hour ago. I want to work on Legacy, but I also need to get the heating pad on my knee. Have you received a huge box in the mail for a very small item? Thanks for reading.

There was a customs label on the box. I've gotten boxes from Amazon that were bigger than the item, but not that much bigger.

I guess they wanted the item well protected from being damaged.

Probably. There was enough paper in it.

Yes, I've had that happen before, the box was huge, in comparison to the item inside it.

It makes me wonder why they do that.

@kobesbuddy Maybe Jay knows why they have tiny things in huge boxes.

@just4him I guess just to guarantee, the small item doesn't get lost in the shuffle or broken.

All the time. There is usually more packing material than product. Not sure WHY they do that honestly. Sometimes it makes me laugh. Hey, do you play the organ?

I learned it's so it doesn't get lost. Yes, a little. I have the books to help me learn to play it properly. It was my grandmother's organ. I remember when she got it. I played on it back then too. I'm better with the piano.

@porwest Yes, they are. However, the keyboard is divided.

That's very strange that they put a small item in a huge box! I have had that happen a few times

Yes, it was. At least it wasn't damaged, which I'm guessing was the reason for the huge box and lots of paper and wrapping.

Yes, some pills are sent to me in a styrofoam cooler with 6 gel pads in it (heavy) and the small bag of pills. Very annoying.

My stationery and PC parts often arrived like that, in giant boxes (with respect to the items). This often puzzled me greatly. Guess the sellers only have those box sizes???
