Monkeys getting up to monkey business

Today’s bus trip was ten hours long with two short toilet breaks. The second break included lunch but all that was offered was a Nepali ‘set’ which is too spicy for my stomach to handle. It seemed a very, very long way but was only a couple of hundred miles. Luckily, at the dinner break, they had packets of chips so that’s what I had. But now we’ve had a hot shower and a nice dinner and I’m myLotting for a while before I hit the sack (go to bed).
I thought you’d enjoy a few more animal photos. The monkey photos were taken through the bus window when we were held up for a few minutes on the mountain road in Nepal. They were smaller than the ones we saw in Lumbini and at the temple but seemed very mischievous. I thought the one on the truck was going to go inside the cab but the window must have been shut. There is a second monkey in that photo. And the big blob bottom left is a curled-up monkey. I’m sorry the quality is so poor.
The little chipmunk (if that is what it is) was in the Temple Reserve in Lumbini. There were dozens of them running up and down the trees but just because there are a lot doesn’t mean it’s any easier to capture them with a camera. lol

Lots of monkey business. My son has seen a few in Brazil but kind of off in the distance. He said one place where he was staying the mnager was throwing bananas to them in the trees.

Ten hours nearly drove me nuts. I found it very wearing. And they played loud Indian music the whole way too.

Monkeys are quick little creatures. Sounds like a tiring bus trip but interesting at the same time.

It's great that you withstood the rigours of bus travel. Bus travel even in India is very strenuous.

That is hard to only have two breaks when you have a 10 hour bus ride. That is so sweet that you came here after all that befoe you went to bed. I love animal photos. You are always thinking of showing us things you have done on your trip. Thanks. I see the monkeys very well. Thank you for the pictures and the posts.

Bus trips are nice with many things to soak in while riding the bus. It would be great if you can choose your food. But seems like you're enjoying your trip?

Yes, they are very clever indeed - and very quick.

! Those monkeys sure seem fearless. Awww - chipmunks - like squirrels here I guess. Maybe they are chipmonkeys
.
