February 10 - What I'm Thankful for Today

I won't be on here long, at least not on the computer. I'll grab my Chromebook when I post this.
I've mentioned a few times how much I love this complex I live in. The staff is fantastic. Today, I'm thankful for the staff who helped me get my car out of my parking space as the plow, plowed me in yesterday. So, I wouldn't have been able to get to the pool this morning if I wanted to, and I wish I could have.
I'm thankful I kept to my budget when I went shopping while they plowed the parking lot. I went to both Aldi and Wal-Mart. I learned my fitness tracker is worthless when it comes to shopping. It doesn't track while pushing a cart. So, I'm sure I have my 5000 plus steps, but I have no way of knowing how many.
I'm thankful for the two maintenance women who came to my aid when I fell on the ice when I went in to get my shopping cart to bring my groceries in. They helped me off the ground. I did hurt my knee. I took some Ibuprofen for it and I'm about to put the heating pad on it.
I'm thankful for the maintenance man who helped me push my car out earlier, also salted all around my car and up to the door so I won't need to worry about falling again.
I can tell you that no other place I've rented from was as considerate as the management for this complex. I am grateful for them and their help today.
I know there are other things I'm thankful for today, like the deals I found at Wal-Mart on the pair of sneakers I bought and the slipper socks. I couldn't pass up those deals. The shoes were under $10 and the slipper socks were $3.
Now, I need to eat and put the heating pad on my knee. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image is mine. This picture is from April of last year, but it's what my car looked like before I brushed it off today. Actually, there was more snow, about 7 inches piled on it today.

They were so helpful to you. I'm so glad you have good people around you.
I wish people here were like that. Though we do have very few i guess.
The tracker should work when shopping with a cart. Thats weird.

@Courtlynn A couple of people here said you need to move your arms to get the count.

I checked it when I was on the far side of the store and when I finally got to the register, the number was the same. I'm guessing I put in at least another 2000 steps. I noticed the same thing when I use the cane. It doesn't track.

@just4him it may just be the tracker, not you using those. Because mine and moms doesnt always count either, when just walking at work or at home. So we have to reboot the band in the app sometimes. Its been happening alot lately.

I'm glad too. I've already broken both of them, not at the same time, and been through that kind of pain. My knee is a bit swollen and painful. I don't know if the heating pad is helping. I might try ice. I have a couple of ice packs in the freezer.

Buying something on impulse while shopping can be quite tempting. I usually bring a list but always buy something not on it. Good for you for being so disciplined.
Nice to live in a community where the staff are so helpful. That is definitely a blessing!

Sorry to hear that you fell on the ice, hopefully the pain meds and heating pad help. Great list of things to be thankful for though!
I am thankful that it did not snow here, and that the wind was very calm today (over the weekend the wind was really strong).

pretty picture. I was thankful yesterday that I got my new debit card. The other one I was used had expired.
