So recently, it appears that Mountain Dew is heading in the right direction, lol. For a long time Mountain Dew has been my soda of choice. However I'm a diet drinker, always have been. Just how I was raised. The regular stuff, to me, has a weird taste and leaves my teeth feeling sticky. lol. Now they say that the regular stuff is actually better for you than the chemicals in diet. However, try as I might to cut back, I still enjoy a diet soda here and there as a treat or caffeine boost.
That said, I noticed that the Taco Bell exclusive "Baja Blast" now comes in Diet. ! Yeah! It's a delicious tropical twist on the standard Mountain Dew.
And right when I thought I had discovered all there was to know about Mountain Dew - enter the new Mountain Dew Zero. No sugar, but much better flavor than the standard Mountain Dew. Yum! Well, I'm still trying to keep my soda consumption down but at least now I have some new
varieties that I like.

When I was younger I drank regular drinks, then in the mid 80's I started drinking diet drinks. I do drink a regular drink every once in a while, but after drinking diet ones for so long, the regular ones are too sweet to me. I might have to try the new Mountain Dew, I have tryed to drink diet Mountain Dew and I don't like the taste.

@FayeHazel Oh yes, I can't hardly drink think them. I also don't eat sweets like candy bars or donuts, etc, very often, so anymore that kind of stuff is also way to sweet to me.

I remember Mountain Dew. Have not had that in ages and now there is a new one. Diet is a good way to go. Are they copying Cola zero? Enjoy it.

I'd have to read up on it, but I think they just changed the name and not the formula. It's probably just relabeled Deit Mountain Dew similar to what we did at Coke with Sprite. We did not change the recipe. We simply dropped the diet part and called it Sprite Zero.

Hm, let me know what you find -- to me , there seems to be a flavor difference. Citrus flavor seems bolder..... but might just be good marketing, too.

@FayeHazel It was a funny story behind the Diet Sprite change. We got a lot of mail on it. People SWORE it was a different product and Diet Sprite lovers were quick to say we ruined it. We laughed about it because even as we explained we changed nothing at all but the name...
They (the customers) were not convinced.
Either way, I will see what I can find. As for working for Coke, I did but do not any longer. I worked for them for 6 1/2 years. I left Coke back in about 2007 or 2008 or something like that.

The sounds good. They also have a Zero Sugar Cherry Diet Pepsi, I wanted to buy that in a 12 pack but they don't have it, so I got Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry, not quite sure I have had that before.

I used to drink a lot of pop (soda), but now I only drink water. On special occasions with a slice of lemon or lime. Living it up.

Aspartame, just like the diet. I think the difference is just in the flavoring, they have tried to make it seem more like regular
God on you for giving up soda though. Neither diet nor regular is good for you

Mountain Dew was my favorite summer drink as a teen. Now I like Dr. Pepper, but I bet with a little encouragement you could convince me to try a Mountain Dew 
I don't know if I'd want to experiment with Dew Zero or any other kind though. I wouldn't want to insult the favorite of my youth

Diet mountain dew is gross. Most diet drinks are. The only one that is decent is diet dr pepper.
