Why Oh Why?

I don’t know how I get myself involved with some people.
I met someone at a Super Bowl party over a month ago. She plopped down at the table I was saving for my brother, his wife, and some friends and stayed the night.
Since then, I have gone for one walk with her.
She texts me several times a week and at all hours, makes plans to walk, then breaks them.
She invited herself to sit at a table where my brother and sister-in-law were sitting at a Valentine’s Day party in our clubhouse. I wasn’t there, but my brother gave her ten minutes of conversation hoping she’d leave. She then turned her attention to my sister-in-law and sat at their table all evening.
We made plans to walk this afternoon. I’m not excited at all, but will see how it goes. I don’t want to be rude, yet she is beginning to annoy the heck out of me.

Diane she is lonesome, I can tell this, she wants in your circle because she admires you.
We meet no one by accident, give her a chance, if she doesn`t fit slowly say " I`m sorry I have plans" everytime she plans your life.

Ohhhh - this is that same woman from your other post, right? Ugh - sounds like she's just making herself right at home
. Some people just don't realize how intrusive and clingy they are
. Maybe she annoys everyone and she just tries too hard to make close friendships. Maybe it's best to be "too busy" for her from now on

Yep that is why I don’t give my infor out till I know someone’s then I can just leave if I need to. Can’t be rude if you made plans but the next time he or she asks just say your busy

You are in a touchy situation. You'd like to be rid of her; but you don't want to be rude. Good luck.

I was going to say just what Angie said , only Angie said it better.
I would follow it up with - while it is a compliment that she enjoys your company... you don't have to befriend her just because she's lonely and admires you, esp. if it isn't fun for you.

@DianneN Wow, good thing you found out early. That's why she's lonely.

@DianneN When somebody irritates me, I will let them know, even with harsh words. That way I am sure they are out of my life.

That is rather odd in my opinion but hopefully, she will just not show and you can be done with her.

I would say if you are not comfortable, let her go. This seems a bit odd , she attaches herself.

Get rid of her, she is trying to impose herself too much.
