Numbers that appear over and over

The photo has nothing to do with the post but was taken on the second day of celebrations of the Nepali wedding we attended recently. It shows the sumptuous ‘thrones’ on the stage of a hall where the bride and groom sat to receive their guests. Soon after we were married in 1971, Vince almost applied for an administration position with a newly formed radio station. The station was named 747. I don’t know the significance of the name. For various reasons, he didn’t apply. However, since then, the numbers - 747 – have continued to play a big role in our lives. Over the years, time and again, we would see 7.47 on our digital clocks. We had a phone number ending in 747. We see number plates with 747 among the numbers – all sorts of strange things. Today we picked up a few groceries. On the bottom of the checkout slip, it tells you how much you saved. Guess how much we saved today - $7.47c. Bit spooky sometimes. Do you have numbers that keep appearing?

@RebeccasFarm I checked with Vince and he says he has but he had made a few trips without me. He said it didn't seem very different to anything else.

Could be. I'll have to start choosing them for raffles.

Yes, 51 is the number appearing to me all the time, 47 to my husband. Every time I look at the clock watch is x.51, it's almost creepy.

I don't but that is a sign of something. Have you ever tried playing them in a lottery? You probably will need more numbers for a lottery though.

44 is our lucky number and we get a thrill whenever we see it. Our younger son’s football jersey and helmet (American football) had 44 on it.

That's really strange! That seems like a good lottery sequence to play. We have a daily pick 3 here in the U.S. and that would be a perfect play. Oh by the way, have you ever flown in a 747 jet? Now wouldn't that play right into your number's coincidences...

I think I have flown in a 747. I don't think we have a 'pick 3' here but I might start choosing these numbers in raffles in future.

We think so - re the numbers. Red and gold, red in particular, appears a lot in Hindu weddings.

That is interesting. Every so often I see the numbers correlating to my children's birthday - 713, 1028, 418, those in particular on the computer clock. I haven't seen them anywhere else.

plus you may have ridden on a 747 in the past. So can i ask, is it strange or have you just noticed 747 since the first time?

We've noticed it over and over since about 1973. Is that what you're asking? Vince thinks he's ridden in a 747 but I don't know if I have.
