If you had to stock up on food and supplies for a month what would you buy?

I'm trying to build up my supply of food and household items. I could use some new perspectives on it though. If you knew that you would be stuck in your house for the next 2-3 weeks what would you buy? Do tell!

I would stock up on items like toilet roll, soap, toothpaste, cleaning products (whatever you use for bathing/showering and for cleaning surfaces plus sponges/cloths), washing powder, washing up liquid/dishwasher tablets. As for food, I would definitely stock up on noodles but that's because I'm addicted to them! I'd also stock up on other non-perishable foods such as rice, dry pasta, tins of baked beans, vegetables, potatoes or other tinned foods. Assuming you have a freezer, you could also make up some recipes and freeze them as well as frozen vegetables and meat.

If it was just a matter of being stuck in the house and the power was on then I'd probably just stock up on what we normally keep on hand but just extra. My pantry is pretty well stocked with non perishables anyway.

Naturally it depends on what you like. We have various flavors of SPAM, spaghetti sauce and noodles, mac and cheese, canned ravioli, lots of SOUP, etc. We also have freezers full of meat.

Critter food- that includes hen and duck chow plus the basics like canned goods. I wish I could get a big amount of dry milk. Oatmeal. Canned fruit cause it also has liquid in it. Pain meds like ibuprofen. More peanuts than usual. Maybe paper plates- if the power goes out, so does our water cause of the well, so paper plates and jugs of water. Maybe some nutritional yeast.

Basically canned goods with long expiration dates. But it depends upon your taste and situation. Obviously a basic stocking differs from being prepared for the zombie apocalypse.
