Misinformation?

Good Morning/Evening.
I was just looking at some news online and seems every other article is about the coronavirus. Seems hard to get some honest information on this. Every media outlet seems to take a different stance on how serious this is. You have Trump who makes it seem like it is nothing and it's going to go away tomorrow.
I wonder who you can trust to be telling the truth, or maybe it is that no one still knows and instead of tell the truth that they don't know for sure they just make it up as they go.
No real plans for the day, at least for now. I hope you all have a good day/night.

The thing is we have way too many people weighing in on the whole thing, and the media is largely to blame for most of this panic. As for Trump, I don't think he is taking this too lightly, but he is doing the presidential thing and calling for some perspective and some calm. He has said REPEATEDLY, "Let the experts do their work."

@porwest Agree, I try to avoid the conversation a lot of time with people who "think" they know what they are talking about. I also try not to say to much about it, I have know idea what I am talking about so I wont try to guess and spread misinformation.

I think the truth is no one really knows how bad this thing might get, so you have your best case and worst case scenarios out there. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

The truth is probably somewhere between SARS and the Swine flu thing. We just have to remain calm and keep things in perspective. Panic never solves any problems. It just makes things worse. And that seems to be what is happening as we speak. The pandemic is no longer the Coronavirus. It's the panic that is killing the markets, and causing shortages of supplies.

I think we need to be cautious and smart so that we stay healthy. It's almost impossible not to see something about it on social media, tv, etc.
I'm trying not to be like chicken little...the sky is falling but it's hard not to feel anxious when you see it spreading so quickly.

Trust me these news channels are the ones who are giving the greatest contribution in creating all the panic

I have read so much contradictory info. It survives 2 days on surfaces. No, it survives 3 days on surfaces. Which the hell is it?

You shouldn't be worried if..., yes you should be worried. You can get tested, no you can't get tested. It only affects older people, only the very young, well it affects everyone.
Umm, can you get the story straight. Again with the media wanting to be the first to say something whether it is right or wrong, as long as they are the first to put it out there.

And don't even look at social media, cause every one of these people want to sound like they know what they are talking about.
