Non-stop Trucks

So in light of a few post that I have seen and the talk about shortages on different items in the stores I thought I would let you all know about something I noticed the other day and has been going on since I think it was Friday night. I live in an apartment and out my window I can see the back of the Pick N Save grocery store. Now I have lived here just over a year now and I see the trucks come and go all the time. It is usually early in the morning and the evening they get trucks. You know maybe 2 or 3 18-wheelers in the morning and maybe the same in the evening. Once in a while one will be parked there overnight. What I have noticed over this weekend is they have almost had a non stop line of trucks there. They have had trucks coming and going late into the early morning. Like last night I was up at 2 am and there were trucks there. I seeing one pulling away just after 2 am, I could see the people on the dock where they were unloading the trucks. I did not go in there this weekend but I wonder how their stocks of those items everyone is buying up are holding up. I wonder how long they can keep that up but as of right now there is a truck out there at just after 11 pm and the store closes at 9 pm on Sundays. Ok now I am really going to sleep, stay safe out there and take care of each other as best you can.

Supplies will come to an end if manufacturing grinds to a halt. That's the real concern. If stuff is still being produced, then no worries.

Exactly, lets hope they keep making things or we will be in a lot more trouble than some virus.

There is no shortage here, but anyway people are only allowed to buy what a family can consume in two weeks and no more.

@Bensen32 NO, it is only because of the virus.

Is that since the virus hit or is that something that they always have in place?

Once people have stockpiled as much as they have room for, perhaps they'll stop buying at such a frantic rate.

This is one of the examples I have illustrated about the economic impact overall...that THIS is sort of part of what helps bring us back. A lot of people's jobs are affected by all of these closures etc. BUT, someone has to haul all this stuff, stock all this stuff, and make all of this stuff... So those people will be banking for sure.

@Bensen32 . There is quarantine here but the food and medicine stores are open. So I think this will make the people think there is no need to panic buy.

@Nakitakona Yea, there are supplies out there people don't need to go crazy and stock pile like it is running out, just wait for them to restock the shelves.

They are delivering goods to the store so they can resupply the stocks of things that are bought.

well the store only has so much in it at one time and when a bunch of people come in and buy it all it takes a day or two to restock the shelves.
