What have you stocked up on?

Or have you stocked up on supplies at all? Social distancing is finally becoming a thing among most people now. They have closed all restaurants (except takeout/delivery), movie theaters, gyms, etc. indefinitely in New Jersey. Most school districts have switched to online learning for at least a couple of weeks. Grocery stores and gas stations are open as well as large stores like Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. for now. I thought about filling up my car this afternoon but I'll do that tomorrow just to get out of the apartment for a little while. I have enough shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, bar soap, etc. to get me through a couple of months. I bought extra dry pasta, crushed tomatoes, rice, frozen vegetables, jarred fruit, flour, stuffing, chicken, ground beef, pork chops, butter, and soup mixes. Stuff that can sit in the cabinet for a couple of months and not go bad. I'll use it all eventually. It isn't something like SPAM that I'd only eat unless I was starving. What have you stocked up on if you have?

We have a bunch of freezer food etc ..some tp but not like these others that went crazy over it and we don't really have a way to stock up because no money.. so if we do get stuck inside I'm guessing it's time for a diet.

I bet a lot of people will gain weight from stress eating and being bored.

@NJChicaa it could be possible but I'm on the other end where I don't have gods of food to eat.

Personally I've stocked up on nothing. I'm not in the group that will be hit hard by c19 and am hoping shops stay open so I can eat...if they don't I know I need to lose weight so it'll be like an enforced diet To be serious...I've seen 2 of my local metro supermarkets stripped of certain products by panic buyers and I do not want to go down the panic buying road. I'll just buy what I need. A small example...over here many shops have been bought out of toilet roll, why I don't know as c19 doesn't give you the runs. I'm now nearly run out but I've decided not to buy more as others may need it and I have my own solution...my shower will become a bidet

I have no way of stocking up until Friday at the latest. That will depend too on the situation at the time. Hopefully, I can stock up. It would be nice anyways.

I stocked up a little in anticipation of company. I already had a good supply of paper products. I have meat and cheese, but need some things for the meals I have planned. I need to take my sister some toilet paper pretty soon. She did not stock up on anything but when she is given extra she gives stuff to me. I have enough beans to live on indefinitely.

I have beans but I don't particularly like them. I'll have to make refried beans with them.

We normally have extra of most things. We live in a rural area and not many stores are near us.

Like you, sundries. They won't go bad and we won't have buy any for awhile! There's really nothing to "stock up" on except perishables which you can't lay in bug supply.

I tend to stock up anyway, but I bought up stuff before this whole food craze. I focused on "ingredients" rather than buying frozen entrees - I can always throw together something together somehow. I found a can of SPAM in the pantry . . . I may throw pieces of that in fried rice and other things eventually .

we have not stocked up on anything. No need to for us.We take each days at it comes. We are fine and helping our seniors who is need more than us. The people that are hoarding are selfish, they do not care for others. sorry,I was not brought up like this what so ever. We are doing our best to help out.The Food pantry needs food more than ever.Yes they do. Doing our best to help them.I loathe people hoarding. They ought to be ashamed of themselves.my rant. God Bless America ?really?

We were stocked up on SOUP; but that supply is running low. We have bread, canned goods, frozen foods, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues. My husband went out today to buy a few things...what he will find in the stores is questionable.

Restorans here are open but schools and gyms are closed. It is not allowed to us to go outside after 8 pm.
