The Lights Are Out in Las Vegas

From what I read the lights are out in Las Vegas. With the cancellation of all the shows and people told to stay in their homes and travel discouraged, Vegas business owners have turned out the lights.
Can you imagine with the thousands (millions?) of lights on the strip if they were to be suddenly turned off? The city that was open 24 hours a day is dark!
What disappointments have you had that relate to the coronavirus? BTW, don't get me wrong, I realize that these cancellations and shutdowns are necessary.

@LindaOHio
And that would be one boring trip with everything closed!

@kareng We were watching the Duval Street webcam in Key West. A bunch of people still went down there but all the stores are closed...just a couple of restaurants have take-out. We saw some people walking down the street with food in bags. I would have postponed my trip!

I'm sorry. We have one planned for September. We'll see what happens to that.

The first time I went to Las Vegas I first went To Disneyworld with my husband. I thought then that that Las Vegas was a Disneyworld for adults. But it seems that now id not as good as it was 40 years ago. Maybe turning off the lights a bit will help it.

Great meme I saw on Facebook about this: one of the casinos with one of those pop-up Halloween store banners superimposed onto it.
My disappointments? Baseball season delayed, but I'd rather lose a season than a stadium full of people.
Our golfing season may be delayed as well. All national events through the end of March have been cancelled, which doesn't affect my tour (our season doesn't start until mid-May). But, as I said, if we come out of this without a repeat of 1918, I'll deal with the inconveniences.

I have been to Las Vegas twice and both times it was in Christmas vacation and on New Year eve. Can't imagine such a lighted high spirited city to go in gloom due to virus crisis. Guess that's the best to do now.
