I had someone on MyLot ask me about the pandemic that I experienced in the 1960s. The Hong Kong flu pandemic of 1968-1969 killed approximately 1 million-4 million people. I was not able to find a figure for how many people were infected. I was fortunate to be young and in good health when I came down with the flu. I was terribly ill for a solid two weeks but recovered with no lasting effects. I hope everyone in a lockdown is handling it OK. I think the first thing we will do when the lockdown is lifted is go out to dinner (as long as there are still a limited number of cases in our county!) :-) Nothing going on here at the Lake Erie shores except we are expecting some thunderstorms. They should not be as severe as those in the South. Stay safe down there! What is going on in your state or country? How are you keeping busy? Signing off for today. Stay safe and healthy; and I will see you again on Sunday. Photo Credit: PIxabay

One of these recent days it was a warm sunny day. Someone I am connected to on FB said he was driving and saw lots of people in the park and lots of people playing soccer. I guess people don't understand the whole social distancing thing. I also wonder how many people go to their friends'/relatives' house when they should be staying home.

We've been self-isolating since Tuesday and during the day, we do some online work and watch tv in the evening. We're basically trying to keep busy and not dwell on Coronavirus although we do have the news on in the background.

I think I will wait a few weeks after before going out to eat. It might get things going around again.

Goodness, your folks must have been very worried when you contracted the flu. We're fine here thanks.

Yes, they were. I fainted in the bathroom one day; and they were freaking out.

Sorry to hear you got that flu...but glad you recovered! Hope you are doing okay....and that sounds like a good plan once lockdown is over. Nothing really going on here either!

I live in Oregon near the central coast. Here we have light rain showers and lots of wind. Temps are cool. We are doing well. Stay positive!
