I want another cruise!

I wrote earlier about some of the entertainment we enjoyed on our 2013 cruise on the Queen Mary 2. Several pianists supplied music almost round-the-clock in the more intimate bars. A string quartet played during mealtimes and a jazz group worked hard throughout the cruise, continually popping up in one area or another. The ship employed a dance company of about twelve dancers. There were also four singers who were very professional and entertaining. They performed most nights, sometimes in their own right and sometimes as backing dancers and vocalists for other entertainers. There were two dance areas, table-tennis tournaments and, of course, several pools and dozens of deck chairs for catching the sea air. Bridge was held every day. Small tables along one alleyway down the side of the ship held board games or jigsaw puzzles. You could choose to play backgammon, chess, cards or other board games or you could work on a jigsaw for a while. All this reminiscing is making me think I'd like to go again - but not till COVID-19 has disappeared.
