Prices should not greatly increase during the pandemic

I only eat brown eggs. I prefer jumbo ones. Don't care if they are cage-free or organic. Regular ones are fine by me so long as they are brown.
Last week I bought a carton of regular jumbo brown eggs and paid $2.99 for them at my local Russian grocery store. A few weeks before that they were $2.29. Usually they are less than that. Even the white ones were $2.99.
Vine tomatoes were being sold for $5.99 per pound a few weeks before but thankfully have dropped to $3.49. It is not cheap but a bit more affordable.
During this pandemic stores should not be greatly raising prices. If anything they should have sales to help those that are currently out of work.

Prices here fluctuate depending on which store I shop at. Hopefully prices won't skyrocket anywhere

It is not good to pray on others during this time.

I'm just curious but is there any particular reason why you prefer brown eggs?

@lovebuglena Fair enough. We don't need reasons for everything we do.

@JudyEv I wonder... does the taste of the eggs vary between white and brown regular eggs?

I wish I knew the answer to that. Just drawn to brown eggs for some reason.

Our stores haven't raised prices yet. But I can see it happening.

The consumer will pay for increased business costs of nightly extreme cleaning and increased pay for employees. It's not like it is all profit.

Even if it is not all profit not everyone can afford to pay high prices for groceries, especially those that are out of work right now because of this pandemic.

You are absolutely right. I wonder if they are having trouble getting stocked?

Yes their response should be sympathy, but on the other hand because of restriction distribution prices has gone up also affecting them. Everyone is in this

Yeah. Everyone is suffering from this it seems. But it doesn't make it easier on the consumer who may be struggling financially to pay for groceries.
