I am SO angry! I am so so so so angry!
I will get to my other notifications soon I just wanted to quickly post this to vent.
The last post I did regarding my course, I let you guys know that our teacher said we could come in for one last week then go online. Since then we got another email telling us that wasn't happening as our teacher was sick with laryngitis. Which by the way, I know this is out of habit but considering what is happening lately, every time she gives us handouts, she licks her thumb to help pull the papers apart. Lovely!
Anyway, so that got changed to all being online again but we wouldn't do that until the 14th of April.
But not too long ago we all got an email saying that Face to Face classes will actually take place again instead of online classes.
um few things. Make up your friggen minds! We all just downloaded that stupid thing where we were going to do our online classes. And we were also happy to be doing it online. One girl's mother in law bought her a laptop and internet to do this so that was all for nothing.
I'm so angry. A postponement was more what we wanted but we were happy that classes were online so we didn't have to worry about going out there. Especially people such as myself who catch public transport for long periods of time to get there and get back home.
So 14th of April, we are back to Face to Face teaching. Awesome. So let's continue putting lives at risk.
....

This isn't a good thing. You can complain to the authorities. They should be following social distancing

@amitkokiladitya I would not go if I could but they have made it so unfair and difficult.
Aw ok awesome. No worries. I was just trying to help as I didn't want there to be an issue and this other person was wondering why she was blocked. I don't know if she has messaged you already but you can message her IF you want to. Or just leave it as the issue has been resolved.
It's up to you both but I know it was just an accident.

@Daljinder

For her to be buried alive or get graves ready for the people who might die from the virus?

@Daljinder YES!
Dudette, I have no choice. They have made this super hard on us all. If I don't go, I get behind so much work. They act like we have choices but we don't. "Don't come in if you don't want to but if you don't, you will get far behind and if you're away for two weeks in a row, you'll be kicked out."
If I miss this whole course, how is that going to look on my records? I didn't pay for this the government helped me because I personally afford it.

@VivaLaDani13 Most countries seem to close education for grown-ups, 'cause it's so much easier to have that online than school for kids. So it makes no sense not to try to have that course online.
My university has been much stricter than the government, they've closed everything til autumn. It'll be a bit annoying to have exams online if the rest of the world is normal in the end of May. I think they just didn't want to take the chance and wait til after Easter.

@VivaLaDani13 The papers here write that the Australian numbers of new infected have really gone done. That might be why they're changing their minds. Not sure if it's sensible though, if it's easy to have online, it will help the numbers stay low.
It didn't say anything about different areas, I don't know if there are areas worse than others. The capital here is a mess, the rest of the country is doing OK. On islands with no infected I think they should open some stuff over Easter, in the capital they should probably be stricter.

@Torunn It sure is! And frustrating how they can't stick to one decision.
Hmmm it's more an Institute. So it's just one building ( a pretty small one ) dedicated to only a few subjects. I hope I have that correct. But we still are under the Education Department and I thought they would have a say in this of keeping us more safer.

@LadyDuck I know for sure I'm not the only one who has had a complaint. I know for sure a woman from the class sent an email to the head office demanding a postponement but nope, still going.
And it makes me more angry just imagining that these people are doing their work at home where they are safe. Of course I have no proof but it is likely.

@VivaLaDani13 You should all send an email, let them know that none of you is happy to go on with face to face teaching.

@LadyDuck The last email I sent her, I expressed my feelings that I wasn't happy with travelling an hour there with strangers and an hour back home with strangers on public transport. I also explained that I fear of being a carrier and affecting my dad who already has diabetes.
I couldn't have been more clearer to my teacher and this situation but I guess "fear" and "worry" isn't good enough to have online classes or just postpone the class in general. I'm very angry about that too as my email to her was expressed sincerely.
When we go in though, things will be said. One of the girls is going to speak up on behalf of all of us as well as tell our teacher she is angry for getting everything set up with money she doesn't really have all for nothing. I'm hoping this can make our teacher see how wrong this all this. *fingers crossed*

@JhovanPH It's not illegal yet. Our country is not on complete lockdown. It's up to schools etc on whether they wish to close. And it's annoying the place I go to think it's ok to do the opposite of what most of the world is already doing.

@AmbiePam People are sending emails and text messages and one girl is going to be speaking her mind to our teacher next Wednesday. She will be telling our teacher everything she had to do to set up for being online and for no reason as well as speaking on behalf of all of us.
But yes exactly right, I feel like our lives are at risk and no one really cares about it.

Has the government issued any stay-at-home, social distancing, or gathering limit orders for the public? If so, you could always report the teacher as being in violation of government orders. We have been under lockdown since 23 March as a result of our local government declaring an emergency. They have set up a phone number where you can call to report any person or business who is violating the emergency order. Was wondering if there was something similar in place there?

@VivaLaDani13 I've said from the beginning, this entire pandemic could be over very quickly if we would have just shut everything down and put everyone in lockdown for two weeks. TWO WEEKS! And then this thing would be over and done with. Instead, we are dragging our feet on putting restrictive measures in place, and the result is that this crisis is going to drag on for 6 months or more. Millions of people out of work. Millions of people sick with the virus. Millions of people whose lives have been turned completely upside down. It didn't have to be this way. All we had to do was lock everybody down for TWO WEEKS, and this would have all been over and done with.

That is terrible. Face fo face teaching is definitely not a good idea at moment. Here every school is closed. The schools are not able to choose if they want to close or not. Our government decides that.
