Good Friday and April Showers

Good afternoon.
I miss going to church on Good Friday.
We picked up our Easter lilli this morning
Then a bunch of other flowers.This will cheer us up being confined
Not sure what the plan for Easter Sunday.Will have our Easter dinner just the two of us.Going to be weird not having Cheryl with us.
Easter was a very big thing in our family.
I will go online for church service if I can find one.

This will be an odd year for celebrations of all kinds.
Little Miss will be 5 next week. My family and friends are going to drive by our home at 6 on her birthday to sing to her. Not the same as a party that she hoped to have with all of her classmates.

It is so unnatural not to have attended services over the course of this past, most Holy week.
I have no Easter lily this year, nothing special to adorn the room to remind me of the time of the year. I do have a spring wreath that I normally put out on the door, I will have to dig that out and hang it up.

We are supposed to get rain this weekend--we need it! And with the stay at home stuff I would rather we get flooded now than when we can go out and 'play'!

With me being sick this whole week, and pretty much sleeping the whole time, I lost track of what day it is. I didn't even realize today was Good Friday. This whole COVID situation has really made a mess of the Easter holiday weekend. And now add in all these severe storms that will roll through the south, and it doesn't look like it's going to be a good weekend at all.

@moffittjc ours will be a chilly one.I will miss Easter very much and the church.I would love to sit in back and just reflect all alone and knowing that someone is there.

Easter lilies come up wild in a paddock just down from our place. I hope you find an online service. There seems to be quite a bit of choice.

It is very strange having no church services for Good Friday.
Same here with no family celebrating Easter....just my daughter and myself this year.

There should be services on line.
You know what amazes me we are being asked to stay in the comfort of our own homes with all modern conveniences to make our lives so comfortable. Running water, electricity heating or air con netfilx books our gardens to sit in etc etc
People are whining as if it really is a big hardship. I think of the conditions of our American and British heros who spent months on end in the trenches in world war one and world war 2 Afghanistan Iraq Syria soaked through to their skins, with trench foot cold miserable alone.
And yet here people are whining because they have to stay home in comfort and safety!
