How to get lots of views on your MyLot posts

When I post on MyLot, I tend to wonder whether this will be one of those posts that gets 40 comments or whether this will be one of those duds that gets eight comments.
What do you think are the determining factors?
If I need to finance my next (Top Ramen) meal, I will write about what I had for lunch on a given day.
If I want to write a "dud," it will generally be something that requires a bit of thought to process.
What is your strategy for writing an intriguing post versus a dud? Is it the title? The photo attached? The subject matter?
I will link one of my duds. Pull no strings. Tell me why this was a dud. By the way, what are you having for lunch today?
This is a bit of political satire by a Washington Post columnist. I went to Snopes but couldn't find out if President Trump really tweeted what she claims he...

I've been happy with eight on my posts as well. Of course I love it when they get to about eighteen or so.
I just came from one of my older posts that is still getting comments that I replied to.

It seems to me that there is no rhyme or reason as to the discussions being read or not
I had a turkey bacon sandwich.

I always post a picture with my Discussions. I find that my responses have just grown over the year that I've been a member. Some days I get a lot of responses....some days I don't. And it's the same type of subject matter. I responded to your "How Absentee Ballots...". Does that make me a dud? LOL BTW, I had yogurt for lunch.

I won't be able to give you any tip since I have never noticed nor worried too much about (I got scared at times when some of my posts suddenly got too many replies). BUT I know LadyDuck or some members here, their posts have lots of comments partly because they don't often post at all, partly because they always read/comment to our posts (never fail), so others and I, always read any posts of those nice members.

Normally I do not have a plan. But what about
"Vanny and Horse sign a 5 month peace treaty"
Or Vanny's drones banned in California?

It's so hard to know what is going to do well and what isn't. I think a lot of it is to do with the title. And ending with a question seems to work well. I rebel against doing that really but I guess it makes it easier for someone to respond if they have a question they can answer. Otherwise, they have to think up a comment all by themselves!

Sometimes I think that talking and posting about food gives me more comments but that is not the case. Well, that´s my observation. I think it depends on how many people you are interacting with and how many people were present on Mylot.
I had Bratkartoffeln (fried potatoes) and salad for dinner a few hours ago.

I'm not sure the reason. I know some say if you have a photo it attracts people to your post but that is not always the case. Try not to make post that doesn't make sense & just rambling about your day etc. People like interesting topics that they can relate too. I however do not post daily so it doesn't matter if I get alot of responses or not - I mostly just respond to other peoples post and then that gets them to respond to mine if I have one up. I never know what to talk about so sometimes if i don't post for awhile I'll just talk about my week.

So what posts in your experience require a lot of thought to process?

I don't know why some posts get more interaction than others. I thought you post about mail in votes was funny.

To be 100% honest and frankly I never think about it and no worries if my threads doesn't get many responds but I like them to have few responds at least
