Whats for dinner? I discovered something quick and inexpensive at my Japanese place!

My favorite local Japanese restaurant still has take out, and I was browsing their on-line menu the other day when I discovered a "two sushi" special for only $7. I think that's less than I spent on my Taco Bell #3 meal the other day.
I usually get a "Bento Box" from that place, but the cost (in the evening) is around $24, including tax. The main difference is teriyaki steak or no teriyaki steak.
I do splurge and get a cup of miso soup for an extra $1.50 with my new special, but the cost is still under $10.
What's on your dinner menu for tonight? Do you eat sushi? Any new discoveries? By the way, the two rolls pictured are spicy tuna roll and California roll.

Yesterday I prepared a Green Thai chicken curry with steamed Basmati rice. Tonight I am going to make cod with cherry tomatoes, onion, garlic, capers and black olives. I will serve bruschetta bread with the cod and a green salad as side dish. Yes I like sushi, I make them, but now I am preparing nothing that use raw ingredients.

@TheHorse I prefer to cook the ingredients hoping that the high heat would kill the germs. I would not eat sushi for sure, you must use your bare hands to roll sushis. My favorite Thai curry is the orange curry, with fish and chicken. I only use red with red meats and I do not have beef in the fridge right now.

@TheHorse My son and daughter like it and they have gotten a few different kinds that I have tried and I don't know some were okay others not so much. I usually stick to what I know and like. I will try other things but usually just go back to what I like.

@BarBaraPrz Oh, that sounds good! Did you use any kind of "stock"? Or was it true veggie?

I usually have two orders whenever I eat at a Japanese restaurant. There's something about miso soup that makes it different from other soups.

@wolfgirl569 Oh, that's one of my default "meat sauces." I might add a bit of onion and garlic as well.

I miss eating Japanese! I could definitely go for a tonkatsu curry right now.
My guilty sushi pleasure is terribly inauthentic, but I've seen it at a few places -- the Philadelphia roll. It's smoked salmon, cucumber, and cream cheese inside of the roll.

I don't know what I will have. Most likely it will be soup.

Very nice dinner. Yum! Buying the sushi is cheaper than buying the ingredients and making them.

@TheHorse But there's more for everyone to share if food is homemade, in my case in a large family.
