Do you have good drug coverage?

I have a pretty good Part D drug coverage that has a low monthly premium and most of my generic meds are under $10.
I think I wrote about getting some emergency migraine pills that were $8 for each pill. I recently had to take two of them and at the time, they were priceless. But when I got them refilled today, they had gone up to ten pills for $96!
My daughter told me about an app called goodRx that gives you coupons to lots of different pharmacies with discounted prices. I'm sure it doesn't cover every drug store (my local home town pharmacy that I love doesn't take the coupons), but it's worth a try.
There's no cost to use the app and I'm glad to say that after I decided not to pay $96, I got the same pills at Walmart with the coupon for $30.
Now, I strongly dislike Walmart pharmacy. They always keep people waiting forever and several other reasons I don't ever get my medicines there. But for a savings like this, I can put up with a little aggravation.

I don't trust anything about Walmart, including their pharmacy, but for those savings I might put aside my bias against Walmart and give their pharmacy a try.

@dgobucks226 That's probably the only reason they stay in business. If they're prices were the same as every other retailers, nobody would ever wan to go shop there.

I know too many bad things about our Walmart pharmacy, but maybe some are better. I've always said I'd drive an hour to a larger town before I would get my prescriptions there, but a savings of $66 changed my mind at least once.

As long as my insurance still pays pretty well, I'll stay with them. But at that big a difference, it was worth it to deal with Walmart.

We have a very different kind of health insurance in my country. Here every Chilean is entitled to some health service.

Are your medicines paid for by the government, a private company, or by yourself?

If it weren't so expensive elsewhere, I never would go to Walmart Pharmacy. Glad you've got a good RX plan.

It is far from perfect but we have the NHS here so we don't pay for stuff except for prescriptions which are a set price.

My daughter takes a pill that's expensive but with good rx she gets a good discount. It pays to use a place you aren't crazy about to save a lot of money.

For $66 I could have a bit more patience with them, lol.

Yes, I've heard about that Good RX. I would definitely use that app if I did not have prescription health coverage. And yes, Walmart is a good one to use. My friends use Costco and Target, guess they are comparable but have not checked.

At least you got a discount. We don't have. For our senior citizen discount which 20% for meds is reduced to 5%.
