May 25 - What I'm Thankful for Today

It was a slow start to the day here. Off to a good start and interrupted by error screens. Anyway, you know me. That doesn't put me in a bad mood. In fact, it helped make my day good.
I'm thankful for meeting goals. My steps will look a lot like yesterday. I took it easy today.
I'm thankful for my knees. I'm persistent and after the third round around the parking lot, they were ready to cooperate and feeling better.
I'm thankful for getting the garbage out. It helped my steps.
I'm thankful for the relaxing day I had. Yes, I vegged in front of the TV, but I also exercised, so it wasn't useless time.
I'm thankful I saw the missed text from my daughter. I had a few good texts from her this afternoon.
I'm thankful my son didn't forget my celery. I called him yesterday to bring me some so I could make potato salad today. I'll make it tomorrow since I didn't get it until 7 PM.
I'm thankful I kept my food to a minimum today. It's quite warm today. 84 when I saw the forecast this afternoon. It's probably why I didn't eat much.
Okay, that's my day. The notifications are finished. No errors when I came back on this afternoon, for which I'm also thankful.
What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

It's been years since I last tasted potato salad. I miss my mom's potato salad with the pickles and other trimmings.

@just4him some people do not like pickles because it is sour. That's how my mother makes her potato salad.

Sounds like such a nice and easy day today! I am thankful for the nice meal we had this evening and maybe even the nice temperature outside so I can sit out there and draw, that would be nice.

I was thankful for many things yesterday. It was my husband's birthday. We were supposed to be going away for a few days as is usually the plan. Unfortunately, we were not able to go this time because of the current rules. I am, however, thankful that we've been able to go away for his birthday in previous years and that he still had a good day despite being so limited as to what we could do.
I'm thankful that we're all healthy and happy, and that we live quite comfortably. I'm grateful that we were still able to contact people. Our eldest son came round on Saturday - staying 6ft apart in the garden! We facetimed with our eldest daughter and her family yesterday. Our 3 granddaughters were very happy. The eldest seemed especially pleased to chat with us. She was very cheeky. She said happy to to my husband, calling him by his first name. Her mum told her to call him granddad. I'm really thankful for the relation we have with them. Our younger daughter sent a card and a text (she does call regularly as well) and, of course, our youngest son is here with us.
I'm also thankful that we are able to get takeaways as we hadn't go much in and we're waiting for a new cooker to arrive. I killed the old one!
I'm thankful for so many things from small things like being able to sit in my garden to the big things like being able to buy a new cooker without credit!

@just4him I'm just a little concerned about how much weight I could put on in a week if we live on takeaways! I did a little bit of shopping yesterday so I bought some healthy things that can be cooked in the microwave or slow cooker.

@pumpkinjam I'm sure it would be a lot. It's good you bought healthy food to cook at home.

@just4him Yes since Amazon promised the package would come on Monday. I thought Amazon would send it by drone.

Another great list of things to be thankful for! I guess I could say that I am thankful that I am not exhausted tonight like last night. I think my 2 hours of working out helps my sugar from going super high.

I also have computer errors. It was DNS errors. I'm thankful that my mother looked up a video to help me fix the dns errors. Hopefully the fix is permanent. If not, she wrote down the steps we did so the next time it does it I can fix it again.
