That was fast! He was only in there about a day and a half. All they really did was adjust his medications. Everything else checked out pretty well. He bought himself another BP machine in addition to the one i have at the house. Thankfully his heart beat is back to normal. The reason they think his BP got so low was that his BP meds had not been adjusted for his weight and he has has lost probably 20 pounds plus since he has been on them..His heart beat, not sure about that, but it is normal now. His heart looks good, but he does have heart disease so they referred him to a caridologist. I think he is feeling alot happier, and more positive now.

Yes, me too. it was concerning. His mother was very upset by it...but he told her not to worry, that he was fine.

I am glad he is fine, if his BP dropped I understand very well why his heart pulse increased... it seems that doctors did not consider that aspect of his problem. I hope the cardiologist they suggested is a good one.

Well roomie has multiple medical issues..so better to have the hospital do tests and figure out what was right for him. I think it was a good move actually.

@LadyDuck Yes, it benefitted him in more ways than one, and he got his insurance changed so he can get rides back from there if he has to go again. He goes to Charlottesville and that is a good hour from here.

@snowy22315 If he has several health issues it is surely better to go to the hospital.

heart issues can be difficult to treat but when treated by a good cardiologist the quality of life improves

He just needs to stop being so inactive, if he would just go out walking sometimes or something it would help.

@snowy22315 yes a brisk walk will strengthen the heart. But it's better to consult a doctor if exercise is allowed for Roomie's condition.

That's something we often forget - that some medications need adjustment when we lose or gain weight.

His doctor should have known that though..but I think he just wanted to make sure nothing else was going on.

Hope he starts feeling better with the new adjustment to his bp meds. I didn't realize that weight loss would affect a person like that.

It did...I hope he will not be complacent again..but can't be sure..his main plans now are to get work done on his car so he doesn't have to be afraid to drive it. He also switched his insurance so he can get rides back from the hospital if need be. He is hoping he will qualify for full medicaid with his hospital bill putting him over the edge.
