A little funny

This discussion reminded me of something that happened the other day while we were out. My "funny" was not about bats, but the post did remind me. We had been gone, and driven for almost three hours. I needed the restroom. I had hubby stop by the lake, near one of the primitive toilets. Some people actually call them "pit toilets" and basically that is what they are. No running water, but a place to "go" if you have to. When the open them in the morning the prop the doors open. I am also certain the roof vents are not sealed up tight. I got royally scolded, by a barn swallow for going in there. She flew in and around, and made her opinion known, loudly. I looked up and she had a nest in the rafters. I guess the reason the other discussion reminded me to share this is because, like bats, barn swallows catch lots of mosquites. So that is my light hearted post for the morning.
Good morning /afternoon /evening everyone. I woke up at 2 am this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Mylotting is always a great way to spend time when you...

Birds did not chase me but often the birds, I think mocking birds, chased my cats. They would hide under bushes to get away.

She did not attack. I think I scared her by being there.

She was well up in the air, at the ceiling. I looked up and that is when I saw her nest.

Oh, she was a little bird and went back out the door herself until I left. Pit toilets are not a place I like to linger anyway.
