It is pushing 1:30 am here and it is time for me to wind down and put the laptop up. I'll do a little bit of reading but probably not much. That bites because I only have about 20 more pages in the book I am reading. But that can wait until tomorrow night! Today was a day I would like to erase. I posted about a bad morning with news of losing a niece. Then early tonight my oldest daughter called and told us that her ex has leukemia. They are not giving him a good diagnosis and he came over to talk to their son who is only 12 years old. He is having surgery this coming Tuesday and if successful, he will be starting chemo. I have had a heavy heart all day. I will be back online later today! Christobol will not be hitting land until late Sunday or early Monday morning. I am so very sorry for both those tragic situations. I pray God will comfort you and your niece's family and that in His mercy He will heal your grandson's father. Also, that God will comfort and strengthen your daughter and your young fella through whatever happens in the days to come. It's just so heartbreaking.

Cristobal is headed straight for the mouth of the Mississippi River. I hope it makes a turn before then otherwise there will be a lot of destruction.

@LadyDuck It missed the MS River which was good news. It still cause a lot of flooding in the southern parts of both LA and MS. We are fine here further inland and the last of the rain will pass later today.

I am so sorry about your niece and your daughters ex. I can certainly understand having a heavy heart. That has to be very hard news for your grandson to take in.

I'm so sorry about the bad news in your family. I'm sorry for the loss of your niece and the diagnosis of your daughter's ex. I hope he recovers with the surgery and chemo.

I just pray that it hasn't progressed to the point where it can't be removed. I know one mass is attached to one of his organs. That is not good.

My first cousin was 12 (same age as my grandson) when he lost his dad. It was hard growing up without a father. My grandson is close to his stepson, but it is not the same. Thank you for your prayers. I appreciate them very much.

@moffittjc So far he took the news well. After the biopsy tomorrow, it may not be good news at all. He left him with hope and he was in good spirits.

No surprises, they took one mass out, others were in places they couldn't get to or attached to other organs. Get results of biopsy next week.

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your niece and your daughter's ex cancer diagnosis. I pray the surgery and treatments will help him. Be safe with the storm. It looks like it will go straight up the center of the country into Canada so we won't be getting any rain from it. Praying better days ahead for you

Tomorrow we will be seeing some rain her in my area of Mississippi. The Gulf Coast area of MS and AL and FL panhandle is already getting rain from the storm. I hope it fizzles out in strength when it hits land quickly.

We will get though it. I am a little better today but I think after I talk to my daughter to see how my grandson is doing and handled the news, I'll be very sad again.
