It's taking some adjusting

When grandson first had to move in with the 2 little ones and his ex, I had thought my step great grand daughter was a well behaved child. But have learned that she is quite spoiled. Every time I see her she is either wet or carrying around something she "washed" or just carrying a container she got from the fridge herself that someone put in it to chill. She is 5 yrs old. I mentioned the waste and water bill which is already going to be higher. Grandson still gets playing with his phone and don't pay attention. His ex does watch a bit better but does no punishment so as soon as she can Lina sneaks right back. She has also been taught no regard for others possessions to where my room is getting piled up with daughter and Clay's things now too. Seems so far I am the only one she will listen to since I ignore whining and begging. I have to remember to call electric company today and ask them to extend again till 17 th when I get paid. Daughters pay has already went to her half the rent and rent a center for fridge payment . Last night was pretty bad. As grandsons ex has already got a job. While she was gone he was in charge of the kids. Not ! Mostly he was laying on the couch on his phone. and when they absolutely needed to be corrected he would yell at them until they quit. My nerves got shattered. They kept going into Clays room until he brought his player machine and games in my room to leave and took a walk. Apparently daughter had a talk with him when she got home and so far the kids have settled down. I made this too long a post. So now I am going to eat some crackers and peanut butter for brunch since nearly nothing else to eat in the house and hope someone will try the food bank when they get up. that stimulus check did not last long

The electric WON`T cut the power, that is a guarantee because of the virus and that is good news. With all those people food stamps should be available for those who are not working or has an income.

I know. Clay gets them. But the others say they don't because she didn't turn a job in she had right away but I told her after a while she should be able to get them back.

@andriaperry A couple of days ago I got a threatening letter from the power company cause I was late on paying. I was notified that they could shut me off remotely if I did not get going.

Very very occasionally I wonder if I made a mistake not having any kids. Reading this made me realise I didn't

yes you did not. I used to work for a rich old lady that never had kids. She said it was why she could afford hired help in her old age. She wore a big ring an amethyst surrounded by diamonds and tell me that would have been a college education.

her mom for some reason got mad and threw her and the kids out. Which I kind of find hard to believe so daughter insist on us taking them in cause they have no place to go. So here we are stuck

@much2say It is and I can't sleep nights for worrying about it. I feel we are already living in poverty here and it's now worse.

@bunnybon7 What mom would do that, right? Oh gosh . . . I hope they will do their share of things . . . more people mean a bigger financial strain.

We sure don't . If it wasn't for worrying over a worse situation help wise I would move to a nursing facility but afraid of the unknown. and as my doctor said The grass is always greener till you have to eat it. I kind of know what he means I think

on and off they are improving But it would have already been enough adjustment if the kids were well behaved which they are not. It's just hard at my age to deal with them

Yes, get the young ones to go to the food banks! Some will actually bring you food if you call as a disabled senior.

I raised 3 myself and 2 girls also. My boys were the hardest to control and teach. But I am too old to deal with any now.

Certainly sounds like it's a bit crazy there. Hope you can get the electric company to extend your payments.
