I'm Nosy

Okay, I admit it. I'm nosy. When something unusual happens outside my window, I want to know what's going on.
It happened last hour and since it was time to get my hourly walk, I took my camera and got a picture. Now, I don't know what happened or why the Fire Department was at the next building, but it does give me something to write about and yes, take a picture.
It was good it happened when it did. I finally met my neighbor across the hall. He moved in at the beginning of the lockdown and I never knew who moved in, now I do. He's super nice, and he saved me money.
When the muffler fell on my car a few weeks ago, they told my son I would need to replace a belt soon. He happens to work at a tire place and knows cars. He looked under the hood. I don't have a belt problem.
I saved money and a trip to a car shop.
Okay, that's my day so far. The notifications are finished. It's time for my next hourly walk. Then I will work on Vendetta.
Are you nosy and like to know what's going on in your neighborhood? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

I'd like to think that I'm not nosy, but I am. And thankfully, working for local city government, I know enough people and have enough connections that I can usually get the info I need. For example, just the other day my kids and I were going to lunch, and we were sitting at an intersection when 3 fire trucks, a hazmat truck, and 2 ambulance rolled by on a call. I knew that was an excessive amount of vehicles for a normal emergency call, so something was up. But instead of following them, I just made a phone call to a police officer I am close friends with. She did a little checking and called me back and told me what was going on. It was a huge chemical fire in an industrial warehouse. Boom. Curiosity satisfied! haha

@just4him It definitely cuts down on the amount of speculation. Or rumors.

Yes, we should. I always worry when it's a neighbor around me.
A couple of years ago the firetruck and ambulance were for the house across the street. January 1st. Hard to forget because it was New Year's Day. The gentleman who lived there never came home. I would see him all the time mowing the lawn or snow blowing. He even took in the garbage cans for his neighbor.

I think we're all like that when it comes to noise around our homes. Or anywhere like stores etc that seems loud or off.
Glad you met him!

I think I am a bit nosy too. I want to know what is going on in our neighborhood. I am only concerned of what is happening in our street. Sometimes we have a bomb alarm here from the bombs of the 2nd world war. So, we have to go out of the house.

Only if I notice that someone is hanging around my door, otherwise I am not interested, but it is not the same with my neighbors, they are like surveillance camera

I think most people are. I'm always looking to see what's going on outside. Right now, it's the roof job on the house across the street.

I am too. I have some nosy neighbors too. So if something happens, I'll find out what happened later on.

I am nosy too. When I hear a noise I look out the window to check it out. Many of my neighbors are constantly hiring people for home improvement. So, out of curiosity I like to see what type of worker is out there and who is getting work done. That's a helpful neighbor.. Think I inherited my nosy genes from both parents, lol.

Hope everything was okay! That's great you got to meet your neighbor. I am not nosy necessarily, but I get a little curious.

There is not much to be nosy about here. I find myself nosy in that I have not seen the kids next door since before Spring break and the lock down. How do you keep kids indoors all the time?

Yes its quite common here as people always nosy here to look around if something happens or problem because in our religion it said that first relative is neighbours because they comes first and fast and always with us. Its our duty to check what happen as whats going on. There are also some aged people too so need to help them what we possible.

It's sad people use situations like that to make money.

I call him Mrs. Kravitz (Bewitched).
That is very nice that the new neighbour saved you money
