Smucker's Blackberry Jam Makes Great Toast

Had a late breakfast today of toast with butter and Smuckers blackberry jam. Very good and filling. And this jam brought a good memory. We used to pick wild blackberries growing up. Funny, we would spend hours outside picking the berries and wildflowers for my Mom. She would always act surprised when we brought her treats home. The good ole days. Enjoy your day everyone. Be kind to everyone you meet.

My dad planted his blackberry here in my yard before he moved to a smaller home. Always fun to pick and eat.

I don't think that I have seen blackberry jam on the grocery store shelves. My hubby loves blackberries. I even put them on top of my trifle that I made today.

@CarolDM Yes, they do have a nice selection, but I've not noticed the blackberry, I will have to pay more attention in the future. The trifle was good, I think that the best part was the fresh fruit and the overall lightness of the dessert. Wouldn't it be nice to do one for your holiday coming up, and use strawberries and blueberries and of course you'll have the cool whip, all of your country's flag colours will be right there.

@Juliaacv Maybe it is not common everywhere. Yes, many do make a 4th of July dessert with the flag colors. I love a light cheesecake.

Smucker's makes all different flavors. Your trifle was good, I just know it was.

I tried frozen blackberries in a smoothie once. Didn't like the flavor at all.

I don't care for those either. This jam is all I have found I like. It is seedless too.

Kindness is the healing balm, that even removes scars. I love blackberry jam, it's wonderful on toast! This morning, I had apple jelly, one of my favorites.

When I was a child there were tons of blackberry bushes at the end of the street. When they were ripe all the kids in the neighborhood would bring a container to bring some home...this was after we ate our fill!

SmuckerĀ“s is a very good brand. I loke the orange jam they have. I remember decades ago when I went to pick blackberries near a country house that my parents had.

We picked blackberries on the roads in France. They grow wild a bit further south.
