My Place Was Given A Warning

The city officials gave a warning to my area. If they continue doing it, it will be escalated to locking here.

We had it under control but people started acting stupid when the lockdown was eased and sort of forgot everything. Government was and is still forced to ease it or else our economy would collapse Anyway a Southern city is emerging as a new hub of infection, a title Metro Manila once held.

@LadyDuck our government is beginning to arrest hard headed people but I don't think they have the facility to jail all of them, there are just too many A lot still don't get that it's not a joke

@louievill Same situation here, the young people are now those who get infected and are spreading the virus again, those young people who go to the night clubs and refuse to obey to the guidelines. People are so childish, this is not something to joke about.

That's the best thing that we need to do. I don't know why these people are acting unreasonably. In my city, the confirmed cases are not that high. When pandemic started, the city mayor instructed to lockdown it.

It is our mayor's discretion to lockdown a particular barangay for not wearing masks while outside their houses.

@ridingbet I heard from the news this morning that confirmed cases are increasing with the total of 6000 as of today. I do not know what went wrong.

@Shavkat the other day, my brother said that the cases of new patients was reduced to only 6. we thought the curve will be flattened, but then, there was sudden rise, an abrupt rise to the pinnacle and it was more than a thousand new cases again

We also do the same thing. However, these local people in my place are feeling so confident.

@Shavkat I think this is about one month ago. There were new cases found in a wet market in Beijing. I am far from there and I don't know more about the reality. But I think it is already under control since people who were involved to it had the quarantine. In this way, the government is efficient. Lately there are also new cases in Hong Kong but I also don't think it will go worse. But being careful to do precautions are still necessary.

I am glad that people use face masks diligently there. I heard that there is a second wave in Beijing. Is it?

@youless It is a good thing that it was being controlled. I also noticed that my students in Beijing can go out now.

In my city, there is an ordinance that the local people need to wear face masks when being outside. That's the issue. These people violated it.

We are required to wear face masks outside the house or in the public. If not, we are going to pay penalty fees. We will be in jail if we exceeded three offenses.

@Shavkat Well quit going outside without your mask, Shavkat! I don't want to think that all the money you make on me talking to you here is going to pay fines!

Here we call police action a fine. It is like you need to pay this bill and the person responds with Ok. fine! If we get more than one we just keep paying more. The legal process will raise the amount of a fine if people feel the law is not being observed. If the fine is never payed it goes to a collection department, good luck with that. But I've never heard of this policing action being called a penalty fee. Maybe it is just different English words being used? Have not heard of jail time either being applied for wearing masks in public but I suppose anything is possible in the courts. This observable fashion trend seems to be becoming a serious law.

I hope the people there will cooperate. It is a good that my place got a warning. If not, it is not easy to buy things outside.

@Shavkat It is very sad that there are those walk around and do not wear a mask and do not care.

We also have an ordinance like this. I am not sure if these people are aware of this. I think the barangay officials need to do their jobs. I am sure they were given directives from the mayor by now.

There is no filing of a case since it is just a warning call to these people.

I hope they got the message and wear face masks when going out of their houses.
