Not to worry. Hubby and I will be celebrating our wonderful country’s independence from the British rule of the monarch of Britain, King George III tomorrow.
There will be no parades, concerts, family get-togethers, baseball games, or fireworks. We will have a nice and special barbecue at home and give thanks for our freedom and living in the greatest country in the world, despite our current leader.
The pumpkin blossom in my photo is very special. It comes from a pumpkin that Doodles the cat sniffed two weeks before he passed away.
The pumpkin he sniffed came from the seeds when a jack o’lantern was tossed into the woods. That pumpkin’s seeds were saved and planted this spring. There are many more blooms ready to pop.
We are hoping for another Doodles Pumpkin for Halloween. I will nurture it on the 4th of July, too.

@DianneN I'll make it in the morning. Thank you. I bought strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and bananas. I'll mix it with Almondmilk yogurt and whipped cream. I found it to be an excellent combination when I used it together for the dinner party I had last month.

That is pretty. My sister showed us a pic of her late cat sitting with a sheltie, and promptly burst into tears. I am glad I thought better of wearing my Tuxedo cat shirt up there. Poor kid..well I hope a new kitty maybe come fall will make everyone feel better. I hope they get an affectionate one though..and not a standoffish guy like Mr. Nico.

@snowy22315 My son's gf has 2 of her own and her mother has 4. One of these days I'm going to cuddle the two Ragdolls.

No plans for tomorrow except for puppy sitting the new puppy my brother brought into the household last night. She is quite cute and very active. this one he say is a shiztsu and chichulah mixed. She is very light tan with one good size brown spot on her back and he is calling her One Spot. Probably we'll have hot dogs and I'll watch fireworks on TV since most of the fireworks along the coat are cancelled.

It is always funny to me, it took two days for them to write the Declaration on the fancy paper for the formal announcement.
can you imagine that today?

@DocAndersen Wow! I only read of them, but didn't actually use any until our sons were introduced to them in elementary school and beyond. Our younger son led a group of parents in how to use them. Today, I can barely log on to myLot. I am a true techno dummy! I admire your skills.

@DianneN I remember the days when computers were huge. My first computer experience was in the High School Physics lab (a PDP11,) or my dad's office. He had a terminal connected to the University of Illinois Plato system in the 70s!

I wonder how many peoples consider their country the greatest country in the world. This would be a great topic for discussion. But myLot isn't the right place for this.
I only know which are the largest countries of the world. No.1 is Russia. No.2 is Canada which is about half the size of Russia. It's closely followed by the USA.

that flower looks like the squash here, a flower that we can add to our simple native dish where we put vegetables and flavor with fish paste or salt, and dried small shrimps.
many celebrations are not done now, because of the virus. i hope Doodles sniff that flower. i also miss your discussions about him and Kuma

The bright yellow and green looks so fresh and beautiful It's very emotionally touching to think Doodles gave that to you as a parting gift I'm sure he's watching and smiling at these lovely flowers... Happy 4th Dianne! Hope you have a nice family get-together!
