Shopping at Kroger

@RubyHawk I do too. With everything going on, we ALL need to be wearing masks out in public. The other option is to return to lockdown, and it seems nobody wants to do that. I sure don't.

@moffittjc Neither do I want to be locked down but if people will not cooperate that could be where we find ourselves.

When I heard the news I thought wearing masks in those stores would be mandatory and maybe it is at Walmart and Target. I only went to Kroger. And I only saw a very few without masks but nobody stopped those few coming in. I want to see everyone wearing a mask when out.

At least we can do everything possible to stop the virus. We can wear our masks and hope for the best.

I’m afraid it will be with us a long time. I think we could shorten the duration if everyone would do their Part not to spread the virus.

Masks MUST be a good idea.

Actually the places I shop are fairly safe. They have spaces marked off and people keep their distance but as you say there are always a few who don’t wear a mask. I thought when I heard it announced publicly that everyone must wear a mask in the stores they would enforce it.

@RubyHawk It is but it seems too much for many people.

I find it very annoying. When we know people are dying every day from the virus. We should be willing to do everything we can to prevent it. Wearing a mask is such a tiny thing to ask.

What a stupid governor @RubyHawk I always thought a mayor was supposed to be in charge, more or less, of his or her city whereas the governor ran the whole state aiding assistance when needed to any mayor.

I would love that to happen here but our Governor will not mandate wearing a mask. He even sued the mayor of Atlanta for mandatory masks. He said she was going over his head.

@rebelann I think its a disgrace that the governor doesn't mandate masks himself. A mayor shouldn't have to. The judge threw the case out and told the mayor and governor to come to an agreement.

@RubyHawk It seems a lot of places here are getting stricter now. The newly infected rate here is getting very high.

I wish it were the same here. But I haven’t been back to Kroger and hopefully they are enforcing masks now. I need some items from there so I will see

@simone10 It’s very high here too. It sounds unbelievable when I hear the numbers.

I feel sorry for people who have to wear a mask all day long every day., such as doctor, nurses and people who work in public places but wearing a mask helps everyone to avoid getting the virus, We only wear our when when go out among others.

Angie, I can understand if anyone has asthma or other breathing problems. I’d be afraid to go out if I couldn’t wear a mask.

@oahuwriter It is sad. Our leaders should encourage everyone to wear a mask and wash hands often. But they aren’t doing that. More people are dying every day.

They are doing what's right to protect your people. We should have the same here. But the president doesn't do anything and doesn't demand the governors do anything. A few stores are beginning to demand customers wear masks but the Governor says he will not back them up.

@RubyHawk Sad isn't it. CDC, guidelines is what our Mayor & Gov is following and all businesses too. No mask, no entry. It was so frightening to see on news Pres Trump holding rallies ...large gatherings prohibited, only groups of ten with social distancing only.

That’s what I thought they would do at Kroger but they weren’t enforcing it.

@Janet357 No! That’s not a problem. We wear a mask every time we go out. Masks might be a little Uncomfortable but it’s Nothing to complain about. We need to stop the spread of the virus. People are dying.

I believe more of our people wear masks. I’d say 80%. Of people I see , But if everyone wore a mask the virus would soon fade away.

@RubyHawk Well 80% is much better than here.....yes maybe if everyone did it would go away...but the question is will they? Maybe if it was mandatory everywhere in the world.

Absolutely, it should be mandated but our Governor doesn’t have the common sense to see it.

I hope it works. Do you have asthma. I can understand anyone who has lung trouble would have a problem wearing a mask.

You are misunderstanding me. I want everyone to wear a mask and keep their distance. I wrote about Kroger when morepeople were not wearing masks. I was at Kroger today and everyone wore a mask And kept their distance. We didn’t go out at all for months. We ordered our grocery online. We still go out only when necessary and always with a mask and sanitizer. I would like to see everyone doing the same. I was disappointed because everyone wasn’t wearing a mask earlier. Our Governor still won’t mandate wearing a mask.

@RubyHawk I know but then there are the ones that say it is all a hoax and will not wear them unless they are made to.

I suppose they think they’re invincible. But anybody can get the virus. I wish everyone would wear masks and try to be safe.

Maybe people are learning that it's best to do our best to stop the spread of the covid.

I agree, this was written a few weeks ago and now they are doing much better. I shopped There today and everyone had a mask. I feel much better about shopping there.

I wish we did but our Governor is suing cities who are requiring people to wear masks. He is an idiot. You’d think he’s encouraging people to get the virus.
