Our daughter Tammy had her video conference with the team of doctors at the Mayo Clinic today. We were concerned that those world renowned doctors might say, "We checked everything we could, but sorry, nothing can be done."
Thank the good Lord they didn't say that. Well, not exactly anyway.
They told her that her case is very extreme and unusual. They prescribed some medicine that hopefully will help with the pain and sleep issues.
Her pelvic floor problems are some of the worst they had seen. There's a surgeon there who is a very specialized doctor who might consider surgery if she decides to do that. But her condition is rare and there are a lot of risks involved.
One thing that she told us about showed how all the prayers for her were answered in a strange way that only the hand of God could have caused the result. Out of seven types of testing that was done, one of the machines is only used at the Mayo Clinic. Six of the other tests appeared normal, but the one that was found through that unique piece of equipment showed exactly what the problem was!
If she had been to any of the other major hospitals in the country, she probably would have come home still not knowing what was wrong.
So, even though her case is very rare (according to the doctors there), at least they know basically what she needs. It's just such a risky surgery.
I told her that many of my myLot buddies are praying for her and she was very pleased. I can't tell you how much your prayers and concern for our daughter mean to me. I pray God will bless each one of you.

@LadyDuck She's been through so much for so long, but unless you know her well, she can put on a brave front. She works for a really good company, but not sure how long she'll be on long term disability.

@1creekgirl once I asked god to help me lose weight. I lost 30 pds because food went right through me!! Since then I am very careful to be very specific when I pray lol I pray this medication works

After the fourth med, the headaches were gone for a few days at a time, a true blessing from God. Then they started creeping back, but doc increased dosage, so we'll see. One med caused me to lose 7 pounds in a week and a half! Which was about what I wanted to lose, but it would have kept on and it made me really sick.

The power of prayer and belief is very evident.
I am thankful to know you and to be able to include you and your daughter's well being in my prayers.
She is a living miracle, and I pray that continues.
