Sure is a rainy Sunday

I think we're getting close to our forty days and forty nights of rain. And we don't have an ark. The rain would be okay except that we couldn't have church this morning because we still have the drive in services. And since we only have services twice a month, it will be quite a while before we can go again. This month has a fifth Sunday and my husband has been invited to preach at another church on the Pamilco Sound that day. I hope to sing a couple of songs. But we heard that someone there tested positive for Covid, so we'll see if we go or not. My husband's napping, but later we'll watch a sermon from Brian Biggers of Lamb's Chapel in Haw River, NC. He's so anointed of God...his preaching is so down to earth and understandable. I'll think of something to cook for dinner later. Yesterday was good...sausage, potato salad (from Walmart and doctored up, but still wasn't very good), fried squash...best part of the meal...and fried corn bread with fresh cold tomatoes. Hope you all are having a great Sunday. Talk to you later!

Well, I was actually exaggerating a little. We just get rain almost every afternoon for a while now.

Are you talking about cutting your grass? My husband's had a time trying to get our yard and the field mowed.

I don't envy him that nasty stuff he'll have to drink. Hope all goes well and he gets a good report.

I have never liked any store bought potato/macaroni salad or cole slaw. We actually have a little bit of sunshine this morning, something we haven't seen in awhile either. We will have some left over baked chicken and some sides. Mike will be going over to spend the night with his Mom this evening. No church for us this week. Our pastor stopped services last week and this week because the number of corona cases in our county was rising and he wanted everyone to be safe. Enjoy your day.

@1creekgirl aside from my home church senior pastor, I like listening to Craig Groeschel and Steven Furtick.

Who's the preacher you like to listen to? I'm so glad we can do that too, since church services have been affected by the pandemic.

Oh my goodness, rain is needed, but 40 days is really too much. We had rain this morning, a good rain during several hours, it's good for the plants and the vegetables.

Wow that is way too many rain days and nights. If this keeps up you need to build you an Ark. Here it is pretty nice though humid.

We have thunderstorms that pop us most every afternoon. No long ago we had Hurricane Isais come through, but we're thankful we had no damage. Although the county next to us had some homes destroyed and two people were killed.

Yeah, I love when God sends a rainbow to remind us that He will never destroy the earth by water again. Next time will be fire, according to the Holy Bible.

My Sunday was nice and relaxing after being gone for 3 days on vacation. We haven't had rain here in almost 2 weeks we sure could use it. Says a chance of rain today or tomorrow I sure hope it does.
