It’s Time to Go Back to the Beach

Yesterday, hubs took me for a long ride along the coast in the convertible. We put the top down for the first time this summer, but wore masks just in case. Those waves called my name, so with no one but us around, I ran in and out of them in my short dress. Hubs didn’t want to get his feet dirty or wet. I didn’t care! I had so much fun! I texted our younger son this photo. He and his girlfriend have been at his new beach house in Cape Cod. When he saw my photo, he noticed they had the same waves and took advantage of a mid afternoon swim. Hubs and I are going for another ride to the beach right now. This time, we both have our swimsuits on! I will see you when we return.

Have fun playing in the water. It looks inviting. I've never seen waves like that on the beach. Looks awesome!

The waves were more mellow today, but luscious! We had so much fun, but are both exhausted from all that sun and fresh air.

@CarolDM Recently I took my kids and wife for a car ride. They rode in the car after 5 long months, and it was a pleasant change and delight for them. Remaining confined to home for a long long time is not good for anyone.

Today we were able to actually swim and body surf. It was soooo much fun, but all that fresh air and sunshine knocked us out.

@DianneN I love water too, but this weekend is the last of summer vacations for most northern Swiss, Germans and other people from the north, there are too many around and Germans do not like to wear masks.

@LadyDuck Safety comes first, so I don't blame you! We took the convertible and wore masks. We were very lucky to find so many empty beaches, but returned to the one we were at the day before.

Thanks! It turned into a great shot!!! We were the only ones on the beach and went swimming and body surfing. It was so much fun, but we were so tired when we got home. Have a wonderful trip to the lake tomorrow. I just love water!!!

Froth. Foam. No difference. lol If ships pass, they are far out to sea. I'm sure there are plenty of ships docking all along the Atlantic seaboard.

I haven't been to the beach this year. Kasey has one more week coming up at the beach house so I think I will make sure we visit her and enjoy Long Island Sound.

It was wonderful without a soul around. Our son is still at his beach house on the Cape. We may or may not use it next weekend. We drove to Rhode Island to swim in the ocean. lol
