Not Again!!

Yes, again.
I’m away from home. Again.
And in the Smokies. Again.
This time I’m running away from Louisville. There are massive demonstrations planned for tomorrow (8/25), and I’d just as soon not be there. While the protests have generally been peaceful, it’s the troublemakers who like to mingle with the crowd and cause trouble that I worry about.
Additionally, they’ve threatened to shut all the major interstates in Louisville down. Not good.
And, our mayor has linguini for a spine.
So I’ll just gawk at some waterfalls and deer for a couple of days then go home.
I had a nice drive down, and as you can see by the photo, I had a lovely surprise waiting to greet me when I arrived.

The rainbow says all will be well. Sorry you have to leave, these protests are hotspots for criminals.

@TheHorse I asked someone the other day that exact same question. Their hands are tied, most of them can't use anything but shields and billy clubs.

The actual protesters are not. The problem is, there are hoodlums who use protests as a cover to cause trouble....and they don’t wear signs that say “I’m a bad guy here to cause trouble.”

@FourWalls I know what you mean, I was born in Italy and this is what happened all the time, those who use protests as a cover. It is happening in France right now.

It's sad that you had to run away because of the demonstrations but enjoy your time away. At least you can get out of town for a few days and enjoy nature.
