Head-on Collision

The photo has nothing to do with my post, but was taken from our very last cruise out of New York to Bermuda. That’s all I saw from our terrace.
Our furnace was due to be cleaned this morning, but on the way to our home, the repairman was in a head-on collision with his truck! 
I feel just awful and hope he is okay. We’ve known and loved him for years.
The office called, and scheduled a cleaning a week from Thursday. I don’t know if it will be our regular guy or not. They would not comment on the accident.
Hubby was so disturbed by the news that he jumped into the sports car for a drive and to visit our son after calling him. Our son uses this repairman, too, and has known him for ages.
Something like this can be a shocker, so be extra careful if you drive!

@LadyDuck A stupid teenager caused the accident and was unharmed. Our friend, the repairman, broke his right leg, his left wrist, and has many stitches from cuts and abrasions. He will be in the hospital for quite a while.

That's too bad that happened. People need to quit being in such a hurry. And I don't mean your repairman but the other driver. I hope he does okay.
I felt that had I not turned when I did to my mechanics I may have had a back end collision because the person riding my bumper for too close before passing and there was someone on good bumper that hasn't a clue about me.

@DianneN Thank God that is all that is wrong..sounds highly survivable. My great uncle was killed several years ago, by a young woman who ran a red light..probably at a high rate of speed.

@jobelbojel We only have his cell phone number, but we won't dare try to call him yet. My husband knows the owner of the company. He hasn't been answering his phone, so we know something is up.

@DianneN I hope the teenager is okay as well, despite anything stupid he/she may have been doing at the time. Let's hope that both of them eventually heal and walk away from the accident in healthy shape.

@moffittjc He walked away without a scratch. I hope he learned a good lesson.

Thanks, Jeff. He was hit by a stupid teenager and has broken bones and lots of cuts and abrasions for now. They are going to be doing tests on him. I would hope he was wearing his seat belt. It's the law in CT. It probably saved his life.
