There's a couple of western channels on dish, I was just wondering if you or someone you know still watch westerns. I do sometimes, I go way back. The Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke, stuff like that. My favorite is Dances with Wolves. Do you still watch and what is your favorite one.

I watch them on a rare occasion. I bought a Billy the Kidd movie last year and watched it with the family. I think before that I watched Hatfield and Mccoys that the history channel did.

I remember quite a few from growing up, and don't mind seeing them again. Dances with Wolves was wonderful!

Westerns are DEFINITELY classic American cinema. However, I have NEVER been a fan of them personally. Not sure why exactly, but they just never really ever caught my fancy.

A lot don't like them. I just think they're real smooth. Guess, because I was raised on them.

@popciclecold I think they still have quite a lot of popularity. But certainly not enough that new ones are made these days. Or maybe nowadays you simply cannot duplicate the raw nature of what the classics were.

I’m exploring the Wild West as part of my vacation. I was always a fan of Gunsmoke.
